Heres' some hard facts about the LDS Church. I was raised in the Mormon Church, in SLC, UT, and my grandfather was a bishop. As a child I questioned their belief system because it never "felt" quit right to me. This religion's good qualities are that they take care of their own, but only if you sign a contract saying that you will go to church and work in the food and canning warehouse. My friend who lives in St. George, UT needed help with her light bill. They came right over with a check for her. She was so grateful. Then they handed her a contract that had check marks by the things that she must agree too before she could take the check. I have studied this religion for years. So don't tell me about "play with fire you might get burned" Here is some hard facts: I have a list of questions 218 of them to be exact that are based on their own religion, contraditions throughout their own Book Of Mormon, that no one has ever been able to answer. Also this religion was based on the Free Masons. Joseph Smith became a Free Mason at the age of 15, and shortly after that he had all of these visions. This religion is exactly the same as the Free Masons, the temple, the apron, the maple leaf, those of you who are Mormon will know what I am talking about. Read the "GOD Makers" and then we can talk. Tell me why Joseph Smith and his brother were in jail in MO? Because they opened a bank and stole peoples money. When the towns people heard about it they ran them out of town. It had nothing to do with them being Mormons it was because they stole money from innocent poeple.
There is a difference between making correct statements than just bad mouthing a religion. I have done too much research to prove it right or wrong. I had a deal with a dear friend who was Morman that if he could find the answers to at least 25 questions I would convert back to the Mormon religion. He has walked away from it. Because he sees what it is I am talking about. These people in SLC, UT are money hungery self rightous bigots, and yes I am including my own family in this statement. Live there and you will see what I am talking about.

Mormons are people for the most part seeking to do and be good. If however, a Mormon was deceived and his good works were supporting a bad cause, how would he know? If an evil spirit came along, a demon, and wanted to deceive a whole religion how would he go about it?
Consider the ultimate fate of the faithful man, in any religion.
Will he become a god?
Then how is he different from Satan?
True Christianity does not make a man a god, but reconciles mankind with God.
Isaiah
12 How you have fallen from heaven,
O morning star, son of the dawn!
You have been cast down to the earth,
you who once laid low the nations!
13 You said in your heart,
"I will ascend to heaven;
I will raise my throne
above the stars of God;
I will sit enthroned on the mount of assembly,
on the utmost heights of the sacred mountain. [a]
14 I will ascend above the tops of the clouds;
I will make myself like the Most High."
15 But you are brought down to the grave,
to the depths of the pit.

actually, if you read a lot into mormanism, you will see that they are very cult-like in their practices. I'm talking, of course about high level mormons.
Of course the layman mormons will have nothing but good things to say, but once they get in there deeper, they will experience such weird practices as marriage for the dead.
It's one thing to be a part of something and have an understanding, it's qite another to have an outsidre's perspective. Now I have done a lot of research about the mormon church, and it does deserve a lot of negative words. The people don't of course, God loves them all, but the church as an organization is .... not quite right.

I feel strongly that all religions (including Atheism and Science)need to learn the difference between an opinion and a threat. Is the burning thing a threat?
And stop judging me, that's for God to do.

Thank you for the encouragement, as you see, there are still so much resentment out there, and so much misunderstanding created by so many native people.
I usually try to answer the question if its sincere, and often I find their questions very ignorant and not creditable.
The negative attacks actually help me to strengthen my faith in the LDS believe, because I know what I feel by the confirmation of the Holy Ghost, those who attack us will never understand or will know, because they never feel it.

Part of the problem is that Mormons use the same language as everyone else but in a very different way. So it may sound like they are actually rather orthodox when they are not. So before you assume that you understand what they're saying, you may want to look into it further.
For example, they believe that Jesus is god (pretty much orthodox). But they also believe that you can become a god too , just like Jesus did (not orthodox).

Well, I do NOT believe the Mormon religion, however, if you go to Beliefnet, the Mormons get more people telling them off and being negative than the pagans. I used to go to their page just to fight with the people who had no respect for their beliefs, even though I don't buy it at all.

Oh, thank you so much for your kind words! You have no idea how much this means to me, after my beliefs have been repeatedly slammed by people who don't know a darn thing about us and what we believe. And you even used up 5 points just to tell people this! Thank you!

I agree that I dont know anything about this so called LDS and I really dont care what it is either. All I know is I think it is annoying when someone rings my doorbell and then proceeds to shove thier religion in my face and if I tell them I'm not interested they then proceed to tell me that if I dont listen I will go to Hell...I am glad that people can put Faith in somthing they believe in but i HATE it when someone tells me that if I dont believe I am a horrible person and I should burn. Yes...this is negative and YES, it did happen to me and it is why I DONT like people shoving thier religion in my face on MY doorstep.

You know what? As a Christian man, I see where you and I do agree on something.
I don't know what the Book of Mormon says, and I have NO desire to know. We can agree on that.
YOUR Book of Mormon can NOT rebuttal anything in the Holy Bible. I have a Holy Bible that can and will and always will, EAT your book of morman, up the middle and down both sides.
Your free to have faith in anything you desire. God, himself gives you this choice.
Now........Anytime you want to compare notes with me, about the Word of God, you let me know.
The Word of God....will be the only playing ground we use. extensions of, or add too's, won't cut it.
Eph. Tells you.
ONE BODY..ONE SPIRIT..ONE FAITH..ONE BAPTISM..ONE TRUTH..ONE DOCTRINE, The New Testament is the ONE DOCTRINE.
Book of Morman, makes it 2 doctrines now. Whats up?
