Hello
Just for the record I have suffered deep depression .
However you must work hard within your self to get out of the rut that never seems to end,
Keep a log daily. Change your routine, also most important is see a Therapist.
It is very important to log your feelings.
You may try going to the Library and check out some self-help books.
One good book to read is Fresh Start by Dr. David Burns.
Also a medical doctor may help you.
Please try and do all you can for yourself you are so worth getting your life back.

Why? It might seem that things are not going your way, but life is a great adventure.
If you have been depressed form more than three months seek professional help. You do not need to get medicated, but you need someone to guide you out of the depression.
If the depression is over a partner. There are many fish in the sea. Do not worry, a person who will treat you and value you is out there for you.
If the depression is over your family. I am sorry, you cannot choose your family. However, you are not forced to stay in an uncomfortable depression.
Go back to school or take the GED. That piece of paper is extremely important.
Get out of your house. Meet people, do good things. Help people in you same situation. You will meet people and realize that there is always someone in worst position than yours. People need you.
For example, I need you to get my two points.... ***smiling*** lol. Joking!
Really, get help. A counselor, a friend, your parents, a teacher. As soon as you start relating to people again, you will be able to place your problems, and for that matter, your depression into perspective. You will be able to place it in a box and enjoy life, with its ups and downs.
Good Luck! At least we know you are getting your beauty sleep!

DO NOT go to a therapist!
We all have depression and therapist just suppress the REASONS and do not deal with them!
I have been going to them for years, and been medicated...it took nearly dying for me to realize what a BIGGER mess I put myself into having these bloody idiots try to suppress my issues and not deal with them!
I was on 4 kinds of DRUGS and only got worse...nearly had a stroke and forgot a lot of things from day to day activities to memories of things that I cannot remember now!
PLEASE read this site first before choosing something that can ruin your life more!
Also look into NATURAL CURES for depression
Add Vit C and B-50 complex to your daily supplements !
Drink water every day never enough!
When you feel DOWN try to do things that are creative, write poems, art, stories, or just write a diary.
Try to keep yourself busy everyday...clean one thing around you in your home. Take a shower everyday, BELIEVE ME I KNOW what you are going through...and the more depressed we get sometimes we let everything go and it makes it worse.
Take a walk with a friend if you can everyday even if you do not speak, just walk.
SUNSHINE will help you!
I know all of this sounds Nutty or maybe not...
IF you are really ready to Heal you will find this useful...if your not ready you need to sit and sulk more until you are ready to get up and FIX LIFE!
and LIVE again...
BELIEVE ME IT CAN BE DONE WITHOUT DRUGS/aka medication! What a joke!
Really they kill more than HEAL!
and the Therapist keep pushing it!

You really need to talk to a doctor. There is a great life out there, it sucks that you are stuck in a mind that needs medication or help. Ask yourself what you want, not what is wrong. Then focus on getting what you want. Remember that all the negative thoughts are just thoughts and you are in control of them. Pretend the bad thoughts are someone else and you are counselling them. Play psychiatrist with yourself, then go to a real one. If you are into hooby jooby stuff, it works but seems weird, go to www.emofree.com it is a pressure point based therapy system. Good Luck, Don't Give Up!

I'm not all wrapped up on drug as therapy. Sometimes depression is a symptom of another unique and deeper issue. Go to a mental health organization and ask to take a survey and be evaluated. These ppl are pretty good at spotting problems and they really don't want to just prescribe meds.

Do you have children? your children could be your best therapy, play with them, get envolved in their activities and think you have the biggest reason to live for and be happy.
No children: find yourself a confident, someone who would listen first and then talk. Someone that would love you enough to tell you the truth no matter what this may be.
If you have a garden or a backyard that needs some improvements work on them, that realeases stress and help you forget you are depressed.
See yourself in the mirror and observe carefully, what do you see?.... you are a creation of God, hold on tight to your creator, remenber you are His most beautiful creation.

You should go to your doctor and ask if he could prescribe some medication, something like Prozac might work. You could also look at your diet. Are you drinking too much caffeine? Are you having enough sleep? Did you recently have a sad event in your life? If that was tha case, then you would have to give It time. Good luck and I'll be praying for you! :-)

Go back to school, ( it doesn't have to be the same thing, you could get a GED) and don't sit around lonely and feeling empty, keep busy - how about starting up some kind of money-making enterprise?

For some reason someone from Texas school system told me that Depression is there for life no matter what you feel inside you.
There is nothing you can do for depression accept what people recommend useless medications.

The best way to appreciate something to imagine yourself without it.
That being said...there has to be something that you love or like doing. If not, close your eyes and dedicate to helping other's life better. Volunteer for vaccine trials, raise money for homeless or cancer research and if thats no good then just read.
Always remember, this is a storm that shall pass soon.
