My Husband, Freddie. He is my hero. He has rescued me from a world of darkness and despair and given me something wonderfu, unconditional love and unending compassion. I hope that everyone can find someone in their lives to admire and/or love as I do him.

Not as profound as yours, but... In 1995 Everton played Manchester Utd at Wembley in the FA Cup Final. Bitter enemies! But all mixing together in the pubs around the ground. I was on a high - face painted (Evertonian), blue and white wig, the works. And totally p***ed! Leaning out of the pub window (3 floors up) to try and attach an Everton flag outside when I slipped and damn near fell out - but for a Man Utd fan grabbing my legs and dragging me back in. Scraped my shin really badly on the sill and I now have a lovely long 5-inch scar. But it's a reminder of the good in people - even you Manc fans! x

No. Whenever someone does something heroic for me, I sing their praises all the time.
Examples: my husband went home without me at a New Year's Eve party. We hadn't had a fight or anything. Sometimes he is just forgetful and so I feel very unimportant indeed.
I had to walk home. It was 10 km.I was drunk on champagne and also very tired and sleepy. Also cross with my husband.
Lots of cars were passing to go to the beach to see the first sunrise of the year. Only one car stopped. They drove me home. They were two young Brazilians. Every New Year's Eve, I sing their praises. They were really heroes for me because they were so kind and wanted nothing as payment.
When your own husband forgets you even exist but two very young and sweet strangers take care of you, even when you are incapacitated enough to make it embarrassing, they have to be heroes.

Yes!
I was bodyboarding with my cousins and they had both bodyboarded a big wave. As you may know, the seventh wave is always the biggest, and I saw one coming at me, it started to get bigger and before it went over me I suddenly realised what was going to happen! In a split second I was underwater, eyes and mouth open just a thought in my head saying: "I'm going to die, I'm going to die!" I still had the bodyboard with me, it was attached to a piece of string and the string was firmly clasped in my hand. It was all a blur after that because I remember coming up to the surface and my cousins laughing, thinking it was a joke and then getting swept under again. I then felt someone pull me up back onto shore. It was my dad. I felt so sick, the salt had got to me and my eyes were really droopy too. This was nothing like the tsunami but it was before it happened.. My dad had rescued me on that day, It just makes me realise that i could have died.

When I was eight I was at my local swimming pool and trying to swim a full length for the first time, At the deep end I got cramp and panicked. I went under a couple of times before a couple of teenagers saw I was in difficulties and pulled me out and got the pool attendant to look after me. I've never seen them since and have no idea who they were. Definitely unsung heroes.

hmmmmm i cant think of any? But im sure there has been.
I once caught a toddler who fell off a slide. She was at the top and i was arguing with my sister and she literally fell into my open arms! I was about 13 at the time. It was a hard concrete floor so maybe i saved her, maybe i was the hero? At the time i was embarrased. My sister and cousin who witnessed it couldnt believe it! It was very strange.

my unsung hero is my spouse, they work hard in the diffusion of knowlege and restoration of our artifacts and they've not had a step increase in 15 years.
and why? because the secretary has to have 1 million dollars a year and a corvette.
of course my spouse isn't the only one who's getting hurt through this conspiracy.
america is also.
keep america's attic preserved!

Not exactly like yours, but I had a hero that taught me that there was more to life than what I was living at the time. I never really gave him proper credit until this year, when I realized that he was right.
He was truly one of a kind.
