I live in Connecticut, and have taken many trips with my family when I was younger to New York City. One of the times we had planned to go up to the top, but we changed our minds last minute to go "next time". Unfortunately, that next time never took place.

No, actually I was right at the World Trade Center a week before 9/11 and was talking about going to the top finally, since I've lived here my whole life and never had gone up there, but decided I'd wait and do it some other time. Strange... I guess at least I didn't decide to go up there on 9/11.

Yes many times when I had guests from out of town. Once when the winds were calm the outside observation deck was open. That was awesome. Then walk over to battery park and take the ferry to the Statue of Liberty. The crown is a let down though after a long wait you get up there and there is graffiti and garbage all over so I am not sad its closed.

Yes. Very windy as I remember it.
I used to stay in the Marriot there. It was a great location. The bus to Newark airport stopped there and the subway and PATH trains were on the lower level.
In fact I've been all three of the buildings that were attacked on 9/11 -- both towers of the WTC and the Pentagon.

Yes, I have been to the Top of the World observatory of the WTC and I took great overhead shots of Manhattan from the deck.

at different levels in the building. but also there are a lot of stores in the main
and lower sections of the buildind as well. it's ashame that these buildings
were destroyed with the lost of life, i'll never forget being in that building and
