I have recently spent a lot of time in the sun without wearing sunblock. A couple days ago I found two small, beauty-mark looking things on my shoulder and stomach. Could these possibly be cancerous? I would like to hear from people with personal experience or medical knowledge.

Cancer will not "pop up" after a lot of sun exposure. I would suggest you wear the sunblock of course, and just keep an eye on the spots. They are probably freckles that came out when you exposed the skin to the sun and will probably go away in a few weeks.

SKIN cancer-symptoms.
1. Change in size or colour, repeated bleeding, or growth of a mole or wart.
2. Any skin sore that fails to heal after 3 to 4 weeks especially if it is on the nose, face or an area that is exposed to repeated irritation.

probably not
it's impossible to diagnose something so visual as a skin tumor without seeing it and through the limited information you gave
also, do yourself a favor and wear sun screen. rates of melanoma are reaching record highs, and at the very least, the sun destroys your skin.
by the time you're 20, too much sun exposure can make your skin look 40, by the time you're 30, it'll look 60. Keratoses, liver spots, and all sorts of blemishes can develop too, so just do yourself a favor and wear it.

I have had similiar things checked on my body. What you should look for: A. asymmetrical
B. irregular border
C. Variably or different colors
D. Large diameter
E. Slightly raised or elevated.
These could all be risk factors for melenoma especially if it runs in your family and you have had a couple of sun burns. There is a website you can check out www.aad.org. If you have any other questions see a dermatolgist.

depends what they look and feel like. Also, are you older or younger. if you are only, say, 10, I doubt it's cancer. if you are middle aged, it could be. Only way to know for sure is get it taken off (or looked at - some skin things are diagnoseable by sight). See the doc if you're worried about it

Freckles? Seborrheic dermatoses? It was not a smart thing to do, but skin cancer does not develop that fast due to sun exposure.
