That's kinda how I spent the last year...I was going through a time of real loneliness, it seemed like everyone had left me...and I kept asking God, "why is this happening to me?" It wasn't until few weeks ago that I realized that He was trying to teach me a hard lesson about letting Him be first in my life.
So don't give up! Try to find some good friends that you can confide in and pray with (I'm thinking you are a Christian..) and definitely find a church that teaches the Bible...I'll pray for you...God be with you.

The Bible clearly states: “The whole world is lying in the power of the wicked one.” (1 John 5:19) When you think about it, does that not make sense? This world reflects the personality of the invisible spirit creature who is “misleading the entire inhabited earth.” (Revelation 12:9) Satan is hateful, deceptive, and cruel. So the world, under his influence, is full of hatred, deceit, and cruelty. That is one reason why there is so much suffering.
A second reason why there is so much suffering is that mankind has been imperfect and sinful ever since the rebellion in the garden of Eden. Sinful humans tend to struggle for dominance, and this results in wars, oppression, and suffering. (Ecclesiastes 4:1; 8:9) A third reason for suffering is “time and unforeseen occurrence.” (Ecclesiastes 9:11) In a world without Jehovah as a protective Ruler, people may suffer because they happen to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.
It is comforting for us to know that God does not cause suffering. He is not responsible for the wars, the crimes, the oppression, or even the natural disasters that cause people to suffer. Still, we need to know, Why does Jehovah allow all this suffering? If he is the Almighty, he has the power to stop it. Why, then, does he hold back? The loving God that we have come to know must have a good reason.—1 John 4:8.

As one who has also asked such questions, the range of responses I have gotten from pastors, ministers etc fall into a couple catagories.
1. God primarily wants to interact with his people through his people. A power minister, one who is used to perform miracles, are rare and even rarer are those actually used and have the necessary character.
2. Sometimes there is a spiritual heritage that causes these sickness and that once that demonic power is broken, the sickness leaves. Given the number of generations that have come and gone to result in us that means that there could be layer upon layer of ancestoral sin that has given the dark powers authority to do this.
I do no know if you are a christian and I won't assume. God is the solution to this problem, I can only encourage you to take God at his word and do not stop asking and bugging him.. sometimes he has to push through many layers of evil to help you.
Remember the old testatment prophet, daniel, when he asked God and complained when it took 3 days to answer. The angel told him he had to fight a demonic power over a nation to get the answer to the prophet. So your answer will come, it may time.
Sorry for the length.

Trials or Hardships are God's way of useing us to get certain messages across. No one knows what God is thinking really but just remember that 'IF HE BRINGS YOU TO IT, HE'LL SEE YOU THRU IT'.
God might be useing you to teach others gentleness and by allowing Doctors to study you thereby developing a cure for future O.I. patients
Just hang in there o:)

God made you for a reason and purpose. That disability you have was given to you to test you and grow as a human being. Don't blame God for this. Many Christians have disabilities and are grateful of the way they are and what they have, and with having Faith in God they are more optimistic and forget they even have a disability.
Don't see this as something wrong. It's just a test.

Hi Marissa 3465,
It seems that God's answers to your prayers have been wait and no. i'm not sure why He hasn't answered your prayers- but i know that He is good and don't allow discouragement or the enemy to make you think otherwise.
God allows bad things to happen because sin has come into the world and his solution to stop is, is the return of his Son. But when Jesus comes back, there will be no more salvation (except for the end time saints during the tribulation who will be beheaded according to Revelation)... and so the Scriptures tell us God desires none to perish- and that He is longsuffering. They also tell us that Creation groans for their redemption.
As God sees the hurt and pains in this world, He hurts too...
We need to cultivate a heart like Job that says: thou he slay me i will yet praise Him. i know it may feel like you got the short end of the stick- but God has His purposes (look at Joni Erickson Tada- and what a tremendous life she has lived by trusting in the Lord). And He has a special plan for your life and will reward you all the more knowing how difficult it is for you to trust sometimes in the midst of disappointment, etc.
Hope this helps,
Nickster

I don't want to take too much room for your question....
So, briefly..... I would like to share 5 scriptures...... please read them to know that they are comforting and if you need any further explaination please email me.
Job 34:10 - Helps to know that God does not cause the bad conditions in the world.
Genesis 3:2-5 - By calling God a liar and saying that He withholds good from His subjects, Satan questioned God's right to rule.
1 John 3:8 - God will use his Son, Jesus Christ, the Ruler of the Messianic Kingdom, to end all human suffering and to undo its effects.
I'll quote Isaiah 35:6 that encourages So Much in your situation -
"At that time the lame one will climb up just as a stag does..."
Isaiah 33:24 - No resident will say: 'I am sick'."
Wonderful scriptures to help us to appreciate God and know that life the way we are living it now will not be like it is much longer. And God will fix ALL our troubles and problems. I truly hope you find these scriptures to be more comforting for what you're going through right now. Again, email me if you need upbuilding truth about the bible and what it teaches. Take Care.

I'm not 100% sure. I don't want to give you an answer, for fear of putting words in the mouth of GOD, but I will say that I've figured out why God gave ME all MY problems. It's to make sure I don't get too over-confident & arrogant. I need help from other people, & that's a good thing. All my difficulties are God's way of saying, "You can't do this by yourself!"
I hope that helps...
Peace!!!

Only God knows why u are not cured yet. But like the widow and the Judge, never stop praying to God asking him to heal you. I believe that He can, without a doubt. Like this one dude told me, he said, "If you believe that He can, then your FAITH has made you whole!" You have to remember that human wisdom and logic (scientific stuff, etc) is nonsense to God. The stuff Jesus Christ our Lord did back in the day can and are still done today! If you believe that He can heal you, then your FAITH has made you whole. Period. To God be all the praise and glory, forever and ever!

the Lord may indeed have some serious work for you that only he knows right now. we are limited in what we can see because we are hemmed in by time and space, God isn't. He can see the beginning and the end the way you and i look at a picture. Pray daily. you may or may not be healed. God will not give you more than you can handle even though it feels like it. have faith.
