Take 2 Benedryl caps before sleep, maybe some chamomile tea also. Benedryl is an antihistamine and will make you sleepy. Two is what is recommended as a sleep aide. Also, milk will help due to the calcium.

Hi, Kel,
Here are a couple of things, which you might try...
>>>>
"Magnesium"... Sometimes, "calcium and magnesium", but contrary to what is popular in the media, most people get enough calcium... They lack magnesium... The two balance... You can over-do calcium, but not magnesium... In order for the body to properly absorb magnesium, it needs an acidic context... Natural Vitality (California) is a company that carries a magnesium product called "Calm"... Within a few minutes you will find it effective.... Not only will it help one sleep, but it is great if you have muscle related problems, back pain, or any of a whole list of ailments....
>>>>>>
This will sound too simple, but the results are very worthwhile... It is a great solution.. for a variety of conditions...
>>>>>
"Take a walk." That's right...go outside and take a walk... Put your attention on things in the environment, noticing the trees, grass, objects, sounds, smells, etc... "Really look, at things"... Notice things.... Observe things. [ e.g. Look at that tree... Notice this leaf.... Really look at that pebble... See the fence picket and how it is shaped.... Etc.. Don't worry about a physical exercise benefit... The idea here is to put attention out of the head and into the environment and things in it....
>>>>>
This is also, a good temporary remedy or assist.. for a variety of other things >>> :Difficulty in going to sleep....
Feeling exhausted or tired or too worn out to do anything...
That "after work exhaustion"...
Worry or anxiety or feeling depressed...
A rising, heated temper...
Something that has a person "all riled up"...
An argument or rift between two people reacting to each other's buttons... can be addressed if they take a break from the "fight" and go for a walk (by themselves)....
Someone being hysterical or distraught over something....
Somebody acting "crazy" or nutty can gain some temporary sanity by just going for a walk and observing things....
Sobering a drunk temporarily...
Overcoming the exhaustion of a long drive...
Helping to calm a crying child...
>>>>>>>
Try "take a walk" sometime to see how it helps... ;)
>>>>
Warm milk really does give off a chemical that help relax you, chamomile hot tea does the same thing.. because it is decaf and combine this with reading at night... and no matter what, your mind will finally relax ..and you will not even know when you knocked out... I'm not a reader but I read just to make myself sleep.... Find something to read, that is not interesting to you ..or you might stimulate your mind.....
>>>>>>
I hope, this helps!;)
>>>>>>>>
My regards!

I can't sleep a lot of times at night either. I don't know anything that will help for that either so good luck. I know I just let myself get very tired before I try to go to sleep

First of all, let your dinner not be too late, go for a walk after dinner, take a ten minute bath with warm water. If you are not sleepy, don't go to bed, instead, read a book, watch a boring TV show and then you'll feel sleepy, time to go to bed. Turn lights off, TV off, and wear a blindfold, black is better. Trust me.
