I know they are necessary but I was just curious about what sensations or lack thereof you get with them. and i've never asked before. so ..............

Yes they do, I think so anyways. So before using one, be sure to ask her if she is allergic to latex. And as far as the lack of sensation, that is a difficult one....that is a personal opinion between the two of you. I know I do not like them.

Sure, the sensations may be a little different with a condom, but it's great because a guy can finish inside of you, which is much more intimate than pulling out and making a mess. So in that sense, it's so much better.
I would recommend a really thin condom and lots of lube...for the guy's sake.

No. I can't feel the condom. I think maybe it it were one of those ribbed ones, I might, but I don't particularly want to feel something that obviously fake. I use the thin lubricated ones (thin for him; lubricated for me, even though extra lubrication may not be necessary, I am very tiny, so it helps). I never use the spermicide-coated ones. They burn and that chemical is actually very harmful to women.

I imagine its the same as with men as it is with women, there is definitely a difference in feeling. You can feel details that otherwise you couldnt. And sensations are muffled a bit.

I don't like them. I have used them much. I've always been with guys I knew really well and was on the pill. But I never have liked the feeling.

I dont enjoy using them , its hard to explain but it doesnt seem so slide so easily with one on.
Plus even the flavoured ones taste horrible....lol
