he needs to see a doctor. if he gets tonsilitist more than once he has to get his tonsils out because that is a strong infection and really kills out the tonsils. it could be strep too. if you child keeps getting strep he/she may need their tonsils out. please go see a doctor ASAP.

Administer Tylenol exactly per package directions poor little guy is probably in pain. Offer a bottle of cold water at all times. Cuddle baby alot. Due to the infection he probably will sleep more right now help him get some rest. If he has started on the antibiotics he will not be at risk to pass it on. But everyone in the house has probably already been exposed anyway before you knew he was sick. Avoid milk products if you can. Chill jars of pears and apple sauce and feed him as much as he will eat. Freeze pears and apple sauce as well. If you can when he sleeps you sleep. Try to wipe down toys and baby gear with 1 part bleach to 9 parts water. If there is alot of blood more that a teaspoon call the doctor. If not don't worry. Also supervising carefully give baby shaved ice or cracked ice. Even cola won't hurt right now. Keep him well hydrated and calm. Best of luck.

I work for an Ears Nose Throat Dr. He is far too little to have them removed now especially if this is his first case. We remove them typically after age 3 an when they are too large causing sleep apnea, or when they have recurrent tonsillitis 5 or more cases or 3 or more that have not been resolved. There is also something called a Peri tonsillar abscess if that happens he like to remove them. But you 1 year old just needs an antibiotic.

he probably got the tosilitis because of the scratch. Tosilitis just means that the tonsils are inflamed, or swollen. He may be drooling because it hurts to swallow. Don't panic and just stick with the meds you were given for him. try giving him cold things to suck on like popsicles, just make sure he doesnt bite it since he's really too young for them. Hope he feels better soon

even as my daughter grow to be born she had her wire wrapped two times round her neck. Her hand grow to be actually between the wire and her neck as if she tried to get it off. for the time of shipping is the most important challenge because the stress in the beginning canal can sluggish blood flow and reduce the middle price. The wire defined, later, why that they had a not person-friendly time looking her heart price for the time of pushing. Now that they recognize the wire is around the neck they could evaluate her extreme threat and exhibit screen fetal heart price commonly. She might want to be cautioned to save tabs of fetal pastime besides. they could recommend a c-area shipping also yet who knows. i'd opt to imagine the early induction provide i grow to be given grow to be a large blessing because Lord knows what might want to have got here about if we had waited 6 days for the due date. btw my toddler monitored a good heart price all for the era of being pregnant and no one knows even as the wire were given wrapped. It grow to be a marvel at beginning.
