Maybe an absess from a cat fight. You should try and trap her. You can get a trap from your local humane society, or sometimes pet hospitals loan them out.

Two choices:

1) Keep offering the cat food & water as you have and let nature run it's course. Wounds that cat's receive are from hunting and gathering. Cat's are programed internally how to deal with wounds. It should be fine to stay in the area, but only as long as the animal remains docile, and non-aggressive. Also watch for it beating your cats up.

2) Call your local animal shelter and they will trap it. However, wild cats typically get euthanized when removed. The kittens would have a greater chance of getting a home through placement; providing they survived.

Don't hesitate to call you animal shelter should the cat start acting aggressive ... BEWARE OF RABBIES!!!

Yikes!! Poor kitty!! You need to definitly some how trap that cat. 2 reasons. 1 it sounds like it could have a sickness or disease, and that could be a danger to YOUR cats even though they are indoors. 2 that cats pregnant, and she needs to get into a shelter so the health of the kittens are monitored and they can be given good homes, rather than become strays. If you can contact a local shelter for cats, most likely they'll have trappers. If you don't know where to start looking for cat shelters, call a few vets in the area, they should know of some. I wouldn't get to close or try to touch this cat outside, you could be indangering yourself and your cats. She needs to be seen because she's pregnant. That and i'm sure you don't want to see her kittens indangered. If she gets trapped or seen, she WILL get fixed, as well as the kittens, which will ensure all of them happy lives. Good luck & keep us updated!

Try to get your cat carrier out and open the door up. Then put cat food in a bowl inside the carrier. When she goes into the cage quietly close the door behind her.
Adopt the cat in, she needs a good home, but take her to the vet most deffinatly!

Please contact your local humane society or animal control. They will usually give you a humane trap which you can bait with food and trap her.

Whatever is wrong with her she desperately needs your help. There might be rescue groups in your area with experienced people to help you or tell you how to do the trapping. They will know which veterinarians, if any, in your area who will work with feral cats. The rescue organisations are usually advertising in the newspaper at this time because they have so many kittens to place.

Sometimes feral cats that are trapped are euthanized at AC or humane societies. This is tragic and it is sometimes the only solution for a cat who has not been socialized to humans. I do believe that a "peaceful death" is better than the life she is leading now, even though you are so kind to feed her.

it could be from a cat fight.... try to put some wet cat food or tuna in a place with a dorr (a garage would be best), and when the cat walks in shut the door. then take it to the vet if you are worried about the food try another food then see how the cat likes it. Lay lots of water out for the cat cats drink alot and usually get dehigerated when they are sock plus water can help them to recover. if u slowy get the cat to get use to u it might let u help him or she

Call your local game warden and ask for help in trapping her so she can get proper veterinary care. She definitely has an abscess and needs antibiotics. Some towns have a spay and release program see if your town is one of them. But in any event you need to trap her and get her help. Call local pet help organizations such as FOCAS or the ASPCA and see if they'll help you with trapping her.

she could have gotten into a fight with another animal. Get an animal trap and place some canned cat food in it and trap her...because if you don't she could get sick and her kittens might not survive.
