Why devote so much?

Why is it that religious people only talk about 1 thing... religion. Dont say theres other things on here that u talk about cause there isnt. U may start talking about something but it all leads to 1 place... religion. Dont u ever not want to talk about religion? Honestly now. Im not trying to dis ur faith either. But it just seems that every thought that is made is based on one thing and dont u get bored of it? u believe so heavily for what? Someone that people "think" is there. OR is it to get a closer spot in line at the pearly gates? I believe what I think I should believe. My own thoughts... Not brainwashing thoughts from people who tell me its not right to do the things I enjoy most out of life. Arent u just tired of listening to people telling u what to do? I mean in my opinion organized religion is just a very bland version of the nazis. U dont have ur own thoughts. U grow thinking only 1 way, living 1 way, look down upon any others that dont live ur way and then try to convert

everyone. Like I said before I am not trying to dis ur beliefs but dont u just get tired of caring for someone thats not there

I agree with you. It is a nice topic to debate because you learn why people think the way they do. But if someone is religious. I think they need to be religious on their own terms and not force it on anyone else or preach it to people who do not share the same beliefs. I do not mind having other religions explained to me but do not force them on me.

I am religious, but I DON'T only talk about religion. I'm very interested in medicine and health issues. In fact, I'm mostly on that board. I believe this is my ONLY post here.

We all talk about what is important to us... I talk about my husband, my family, my job, my hobbies, whatever.. Religion is also important, so its just understood that would be discussed sometimes.

Personally, I don't want to discuss religion all the time. My religion is a relationship with God, not something to argue about constantly.

because ppl like u askin questions ....under the religion part of these questions...what do u expect ppl to talk about...maybe u need to rethink ur question or moove to a different catagory....every one is entitled their opinion....yes some get extreme....no matter what religious group it is ...and the ones that dont have a religion....so what was the point in this question??? my answer...

I'm religious...I talk about me, my family, my business, my hobbies, my pet, the weather, the news, furniture, car repair, airplanes and flying, computers, yard-work, pool cleaning, traffic, restaurants and food, TV and movies, sports, books, friends, politics, lawyers, health, college, insurance, the beach, gas prices, fencing lessons, recycling, crazy neighbors, travel, Coke vs. Pepsi, ants,
difficult customers, LNG leaks, hydraulics, bathroom demolition...so far today.

So what do atheists talk about?

(Oh...I haven't talked about religion until you just brought up the subject.)

They talk to justify their thinking on the subject. That is why they call it "Practicing their faith" the don't know enough about it to leave it alone. They must try to get others to think the way they think. It can only be done talking about it to each other. Write me and I'll talk about anything with you.Unless I know nothing about the subject then I can only listen while you talk.
