Why would hands spontaneously become itchy?

A friend of mine has had flu for the last few days and suddenly last night both hands became very itchy (not pins and needles). Any idea what could cause these symptoms. Please only medically qualified personel answer.

could be a minor alergic reaction to the meds

Itchy hand then hey you been playing with your ==D again lol you know the saying you end up hairy hand lol

itchy hands can be a sign of liver problems get it checked
