Ok, I work across from a woman who is of Russian desent. She is older than I am and I try to be respectable towards her however I am at my witts end with this one. How can I tell her she types like a caveman would...pounds the keys so hard it is all I can hear. Then her breath is really foul. Like she just ate poo. How do you tell someone that? Third-she drags her feet whenever she walks. I work in a very small accounting office so every noise is amplified. It is hard to concentrate when there is so much aggravation stemming from this woman. I really do not want to hurt her feelings but I am afraid I may simply explode and tell her what I really think. What are some ways I can resolve this issue without looking like a total A***?

If you can, play a small radio on your desk, or have a fan blowing softly in the background. That might help with the noise. Offer her mints. Keep candy on your desk that helps with breath. The dragging of feet-there really isn't anything you can do. Here's a challenge for you: Find something positive about her and focus on it. Does she do well with customers? Does she finish work on time and accurately? Does she volunteer to do tasks no one else wants to do? Find something. Focus on it. Maybe even compliment her on it.

How about some earplugs or just ONE earplug? You are so aware of her presence that you want her to stop walking, stop breathing and stop working! If she's pounding on the keyboard, she probably learned to type on a real TYPE WRITER! Maybe you could say something like she should relax a bit so her wrists don't get sore. Concentrate on something else. Put a little fan on your desk for some "white noise". Keep some mints on your desk and maybe some potpourri. And....lighten up, will ya, before you give yourself a stroke!!!! Besides, is you do make an a*s of yourself, you'll have to work in close proximity with her anyway. Help her out. She is probably doing the best she can.

I know it's hard, but consider looking at it from her point of view - maybe she is doing the best she can, maybe she had an old, crummy computer to learn on and had to beat the keys to make it go, maybe she has had bad dentistry all her life and is suffering from tooth decay right now, and maybe she has had a spinal injury that makes her shuffle when she walks.
I realize it bothers you, but I plead for you to go gentle on her, whatever you decide you have to do. Someday you may need some compassion when you get older and face similar circumstances.

Put her stapler in Jell-O. Then, when your boss says: "You put her stapler in Jell-O? What am I going to do with you?" You can say: "I'll guess you'll have to hold me in custardy." And then you can tell the Russian woman that you "Are her biggest flan."

Man, I watch too much TV, yet, oddly enough, not enough magic bus...

tamper with any food that she leaves out.

i usually wipe my a s s with bread, piss into coffee, pick my a s s and then handle thier food.

you could c u m into a gatorade bottle over time until its full and then pour it all over her stuff, but do it discreetly. dont get caught!

good luck
