Instead of trying to stay awake for 48 hours, take a short nap (set the alarm for 1-2 hours later), and then go back to sleep at your regular bed time.

You can take a short nap and still be able to go to bed at your regular time. Just make sure that the nap is no more than about 30 min., any longer and you'll feel like crap the rest of the day, your body will want to stay asleep and you'll be groggy. 20-30 is the perfect amount of time to charge your battery a little without feeling yucky. The trick is to allow your body some rest without allowing yourself to go into deep sleep which happens after about 30 min. Try it, I swear you'll thank me later. Just on a side note, why did you stay up all night long? Just wondering, I know when I stay up all night there's usually a pretty good story behind it. :)

Caffeine will give you a short boost, but make you crash once it wears off. My suggestion is to go outside, maybe exercise. You don't have to go run a marathon, but take a brisk walk. The sunlight and the rush you get from getting your heart rate up will keep you up much longer than cans of coke. And remember, try to stay on a normal schedule. Trying to recover after an all-nighter is very hard on your body. Good luck.

Coke will help, temporarily. Go get foods that level your blood sugar, not make it spike - like caffeine does. Try for protein, a bit of "good" - low glycemic carb, and some fat like nuts or olives or olive oil.

Then grab your alarm clock - set it for 2 hours and grab a nap. When you wake up you should have enough sleep and energy to last to 9 pm tonight. You may wake up groggy, but that will soon pass. Have a good day.
