Just thought I would use my real picture and see what the response is

:) Are you asking 1) what we think of the way you look, or 2) what we think of the picture ?
1) You look good!
2) The picture leaves something to be desired. It has you posed in a white shirt, against a pale background with white dots, so everything blends into everything. Because you are light complected, "everything" includes you, too !
If you are looking for a photo for online dating (or for your blog, or whatever), you might want to think of posing against a darker background, with a suit, or something that accenuates your coloring (hair ? eyes ?) - possibly a professional photograph.

There's nothing wrong with your appearance, Dude. I commend you for the courage. I don't understand why some people are so "LITERAL" but miss on their grammar. I, too, miss on my grammar several times but I never made anyone feel down for reasons of being so unethically judgemental. It's their loss, not yours. Welcome to the Club.
