I always compare cats to children (especially younger kids) Younger children can be very stubborn unless you discipline them and teach them right from wrong. This is the exact same with cats. Cats can be very, very stubborn at times. Cats and younger kids always want to have their way and come and do things as they please. This can and will make you angry but all you have to do is discipline the child or in your case the cat. When I had a cat a few years ago she was very stubborn as a kitten but then after about 2 or 3 weeks of discipline she started to get better and listen more often.

My little one has this weird thing that when I pick him up, he will only allow me to carry him around if he's on my hip with his rear legs on either side, basically like a toddler. I brought him over to my friend's house one time and when I went out to the car to get something to show her, he thought I was leaving him there. My friend told me that he ran at the door to see if he could get out to go with me, then he took one look at her and ran and hid. She said his anxieties were clear just from his eyes. We also have a routine that we follow and if he does something wrong, it usually from me not following the routine. One last note, my favorite part of each day is having him watch me do my hair every morning while laying in the sink. He is the only cat I know that loves the sound of the hairdrier. He smiles and purrs every morning while I'm running it, and it just ends up being the perfect way to start the day every morning.

Young cats up to the age of 1 year or so ARE like children and must be treated as such. They need LOTS of attention and stimulation and will investigate everything! So be sure to pick up anything that might be hazard to the cat. They will eat and bite anything. My friend gave me a cute plaque that said "In this house, cat hair is a condiment". Please never have your cat declawed. It is like having your fingers amputated. But be sure to have them spayed or neutered. Girl cats are not as lovey as boy cats are in my experience. But I love them all. Good luck. Soon "baby" will be lounging around and sleeping like all good cats do.

Cats many times do no longer scratch for 'no reason'. you haven't any longer stated how previous the at is, yet whilst he's a youthful cat, he's in all probability attempting to play. with a view to cut back injury, i'd advise clipping his nails, purely the pointy tip. in case you are able to no longer do it your self, you may get a vet to do it. maximum vets do no longer cost for the provider because it takes purely a minute or 2. some have pronounced declawing. Please do no longer do it. It consists of reducing the palms of the cat on the 1st joint. it is amputation and mutilation. The prepare is outlawed in maximum international locations as barbaric, inhumane and harsh. yet another subject is to get her a sturdy scratching submit and loads of toys. stable luck.

Oh, yes! When my oldest cat (1 year today!) yowls he sounds like a little child trying to talk through sobs. I get really upset and snuggle him. Then he gets all confused why I'm overreacting cause he's usually just chasing a bug or something. He also rolls over on his back to snuggle in when I'm laying down.

Adult cats in the wild are solitary animals. When people socialize them as pets, they are encouraging them to stay a juvenile member of a family. They retain a lot of their kitten traits, such as kneading the stomach of their owner(for milk) or following their owner around.
