I just got married. I know I need to goto the Social Security Office and the DMV to change my name. But do I need to goto the courts and change my name there too? Does anyone know??

On your marriage certificate, there is a space for you to enter a new name should you want to. If you didn't change your name on the marriage certificate - you should go back and get that fixed. Once the marriage certificate shows that you have a new name - you can start using it immediately. Just bring it to the Social Security office and the DMV and they will issue cards in your new name for you. You don't have to go to court if the name change was stated on the marriage certificate.
