if they weren't whining all the time about how I break things and act "scary" (their word, not mine) when I come home drunk, then maybe I wouldn't do it. as long as they're going to be constantly nagging me about this, there's really nothing I can do.

Merlin's Beard!

MAYBE they are crying because you are scary when your drunk!
Maybe you should give up drinking! IF you break things while drunk it can be a bit scary for those not drunk!
They are 'nagging' you but it is only nagging to you because you are drunk, they are trying to tell you that you are scary to them!
PARTY OVER! you are a hubby and dad now!
Time to control your drinking!
When you scare people while drunk you have drunk too much and the party is OVER!
Listen to your own statement...

They whine because you come home drunk and break things...
YOU already went out and chose drinking to the point of intoxication and come home and break things...
THAT SCARES THEM!
You did this not them...they are sitting at home where FAMILIES often sit at night!
YOU are breaching the FAMILY contract by going outside the family and drinking, something that they do not expect a FATHER/HUSBAND to do!
You possibly come home and rattle them out of a sleep scaring the bloody hell outta them!
I WOULD YELL AT YOU TOO!
You come home and break things!
What is next running your car around a tree or maybe killing someone!
WAKE UP MAN!
YOU ARE THE CAUSE of this! YOU NEED TO STOP and the whining will stop!

be thankful that you have a wife and kids to come home to, many arent so lucky. if they are always nagging, then you must do this often. maybe you should think about it, whats more important getting drunk,or your family. what do you love more? and your just using them as an excuse, perhaps you should get some help as well. i think they are the stronger party here, for putting up with you. if your scaring your family and breaking things, why would they not speak up. most people dont get second chances, step up to the plate before something happens that youll regret.

Sounds to me like you are the one with the problem. Why do you come home drunk in the first place. I lived with a drunk like you and they are very scary. If I knew your wife I would be offering her a safe haven away from you. And if you value your wife and kids you should seek treatment for alcoholism before it is too late.

Wht is the matter with you. You shouldn't have married if you cannot handle the whinning and the crying. Drinking is not the answer to all your problems. Understanding your kids and wife and helping them with their problems and communicating will help. Drinking will not make the whinning ang crying go away.

Are you serious? It sounds like you may need to
dry out and work at becoming a responsible parent.

Adults DO NOT break stuff.Parents DO NOT do that in front of their children,..normally.

Alcohol is a depressant. It clouds your ability to reason clearly.

Good luck and,. . . Do the right thing.

How old are the children. Of course i would be scared if my father came home drunk all the time yelling at me.. DON'T blame your alcoholizm on them.

Maybe if you were home not at the bar they would not cry, but if they only see you drunk what do you expect

I say - Drink up! And by that I mean drink until you get a serious case of alcohol poisoning. That way you can drink until you can't drink no more and while you are in the hospital your family can enjoy not having you around anymore. It's a win-win situation! =)

lmfao! drama queenism... the primary is to put the blame on others as usual.

if you love them you'd listen. but as like with all alcoholics... well you're all doomed because the blame game.

grow up and deal with it like a man.

obviously not only can you not handle your liquor but life along with it.

they should leave you.

NOW!
