No, wars would not end if religion was gone. Neither is religion the biggest killer of people, communism killed more people without war (60 million in China and 25 million in Russia, for starters) than religion ever has.
Second part:
When Moses asked God who he was, he said, "I AM." So the essential part of God's being is his existence. Only a being that is DEFINED by existence can answer I AM as who they are. We are not defined by existence, rather by dependence. As God is defined by existence, it is pointless to ask who made him, he always was and time had no meaning at all before he made the universe. There is no infinite regression on this point, my friend.

Hatred, Greed, and Ignorance are the causes of all the suffering on earth. The Snake, The Pig, And the Rooster for the Buddists out there. As to answer your questions of God i would say look at the world and how so much organization can come from so much chaos then ponder this equasion: 1+e^(i*3.14)=0 God's Formula. Lastly rememeber that your Lord is both a Personal and impersonal entity that depends on your understanding. If you are a good person and worship the way you feel is right then you have nothing to worry about. Many people speak different languages but say the same things. "Nothing is true, and everything is permitted"

In answer to your second question, God by the very nature of being a supreme being doesn't need to be created. He's always existed outside of space, time and the universe; ie. he's not part of creation.
Religious people do learn from past mistakes, just like everyone else. For example the pope has apologised for the crusades and decreed that never again will the pope declare war on anyone. In fact the present day popes have publicly discouraged world leaders from going to war in Iraq, etc.
There is a God, how else would the universe have been created? I mean, who put it here in the first place, if he didn't?

I totally agree!! I also think that "God" was man made as a way in which to control the masses, but i do believe Jesus was real man and possibly a real prophet, as was mohammed although I am not really informed about other religions.
what really bugs the Ar*se off me is how so many of these supposedly beautiful religions have no acceptance of others even though they all have the same principals. And everyone wants to think that they are the chosen special ones because they know they have got it right.........Bollo(ks! Live your life and treat others with the respect you want to be treated with and we can all get on just fine! Rant Over!!! Good Q!

The claim that "just about all wars" have been over religion is not only incorrect, but lazy and careless. While I am not one to support "religion" (man-made) I get tired of the above claim.
The American Revolution
The American Civil War
All wars Vietnam has been in, including the one with the US
The Korean Conflict
The Cold War
Both World Wars
and so on and so on and so on....
WERE NOT BECAUSE OF RELIGION
According to the BBC and research conducted by The Department of Peace at Bradford University concluded the following:
"The War Audit says that although armed conflicts may take on religious overtones, their genesis invariably lies in factors such as ethnicity, identity, power struggles, resources, inequality and oppression - and one factor is often exacerbated by another.
It is often suggested that there has been a sharp rise in religiously motivated conflict.
But the authors of the War Audit say there have been very few genuinely religious wars in the past century.
In fact, they say, they have been about nationalism, self-defence or the liberation of territory."

1st question: Religion didn't cause WW1 or WW2. Most wars are fought for greed. Religion teaches us not to be greedy. If you are a megalomaniac and you want people to die for you, twisting religious teaching is a good way of recruiting the simple minded.
2nd question. No-one made God. God exists of himself.
3rd question. Death and destruction are part of life. Doing away with religion, or replacing it with the religion called Atheism, won't change this.

you are not 100% right, it is true that most of wars has the religion as cover, but the real reason is always the power or money or more land. the leaders use the religion to wash the brain of simple people and convince them to go and die.
and for question if the god would be made he will not be a god, but another creature

Religion isn't the problem; it's the overzealous followers of said religions that have been the problem.
But remember that religion is merely a belief system. If there were no God or no religions, there still would be belief systems, and those inevitably would lead to conflict. You probably could date that all the way back to the first caveman who "whacked" another caveman because he thought he had the right to defend his brontosaurus drumstick.

War and trouble is the product of sin not religion... Adam in his sinless state in Eden was a 'religious' (to use your adjective) person... He was a man who enjoyed communion perfectly with his creator... after the fall into sin the world along with man's heart became entirely corrupted by evil.... the evil that you see in the world is not the fault of God but mankind!!!
We refer to the existence of God as being presuppositional (we presuppose that God always was) or evidential (can be proven from creation etc)... If you take the rationale of 'cause and effect' you are ultimately led back to a supreme being - i.e. God who has revealed Himself to men through His word the Bible...

Religion is the cause of a lot of wars. But people would find a reason to hate each other even if there was no religion. People hate and fight because of borders, skin colour, nationality, religion...etc, etc
Man's minds created god. There is no real god
