King James Version: Matthew 6:33. This is taken out of the Gospel of Matthew. I've read this verse, what? Like a billion or so times? I thought that I understood what Jesus was saying. Now a days, everyone has problems and situations in their lives. Big, small, doesn't matter we have them. If you're like me, the first thing you're going to ask God is, "Please God, take this problem away! The sooner the better!" Sometimes we're our own worst enemy. I am. I'm slowly beginning to understand what this verse means. It is my belief that God wants to hear our problems and issues. Big or small. It's also my honest belief that after reading Matt 6:33, that God wants all of "us" to seek His way, his will. Once we've done that, God promises to take care of the rest. Trust me, when I say that I've read this verse time after time and slowy but surely I'm beginning to understand it. Not just on an intellectual level but on a "heart" level. Comments? Thoughts?

Some of you will understand. Some of you won't understand. Some of you won't care to understand. This is for those of you who "do" understand as well as those of you who "don't". One day, you will or maybe you'll never reach that point in your life.

I do agree w/you.I also believe that "taking the problem away" isn't what God wants all the time.Maybe He allows some problems to reach us as a learning experience.Like He also said "My ways are not your ways,Nor are my thoughts like yours. You thought I was altogether like you...".I think our main focus should be what He wants for us.If your child asked for a fish, would you give him an adder? If he asked for bread, would you give him a stone? It is the Father's good pleasure to give us good things. He's been around alot longer than we have,He knows what he's talking about.

Patience! If a person prays in faith for GOD to resolve a problem in their life then in essence they are asking GOD to look out in their best intrest. We know we get no where to demand our way and that is difficult if the situation feels desperate. Some prayers we never see the answer to, in this God's grace builds faith in Him into your request. Sometimes we find our prayer comes back as a no from GOD, in this find his grace in knowing He has a better plan for you down the road.
All things work for the glory of GOD. We as children fail to see that GOD always anuses or prayers with our best int rest at heart. Do not keep a score by viewing only the blessings of the ones that went in your favor, you will fail to ever understand His righteousness. Concentrate on letting go and letting GOD...
The verse of Matt 6.33 does not say you will get your way. Matt 7.7 speaks more on prayer and again enforces that the prayer will be answered, but never states our righteousness, only His! If we could be that righteous in our own lives, we would never need to turn to Him! Our blessings and grace are limited by our own sight.
Falling short of the Glory of GOD keeps us "on the wall". He loves you, I see He is building in you the faith in Him you need to build, so He may bless you by fulfilling His calling for you. ... "The faithful shall receive sight"
GOD Bless you!

Pierre Teilhard de Chardin (a Christian clergy and mystic) said it thus: We are not a human being having a spiritual experience. We are a spiritual being having a human experience.
Seeking God in all our affairs puts us in the spirituality journey. When we turn from God, we no longer have that help and guidance. Free will choices means we can choose.

I agree with you. Sometimes wisdom comes after years and years of frustration with things like this. Now, I leave it up to God first, and skip all the frustration. Remember, wisdom is a long, long journey for most of us. I wish you well.

I used to seek the Kingdom of God, but then one day I found it. It was in Southwestern Nebraska. I was kind of disappointed, actually, was expecting something much nicer. So now I've moved on to looking for Mount Olympus.
