Completely ignore the racing post verdicts, and what they say, dont listen to tipsters in the newspapers!

Forget the first and secong favourites, and choose the next horse in the betting forecast (prices in paper), now pick 6 horses in total, this gives 15 doubles and 20 trebles = 35 bets!

Thats what i do, not guaranteed to win but you do well if u can get 4 winners!

ALSO, LOOK FOR HORSES THAT ARE REPEATEDLY NON RUNNERS IN RACES, WHEN THEY ACTUALLY DO RUN, HAVE A FEW QUID ON THEM

PAPAL BULL FOR THE ST. LEGER = 7/1

This from the States. I believe the question as I see it involves what I would call Exactas and Trifectas. I have found that if you box four horses for the "treble" (all combinations such as 2,4,3/3,2,1/3,1,4/4,2,1, etc.) and include as candidates one or two of the underlayed Favorites as well as two or one overlayed horses from about 6 to 1 and up (depending on what you have left of your maximum of four horses you could box), that generally will catch something with good value and will hit more than people recognize. In the example cited here I would just bet going low odds up unless you think a horse is "dead", because my analysis shows that most such wins are achieved by the lowest odds in any given race, but I might be inclined to veto a jockey who has a sub-par record. Further, I would limit such "odds-up" wagering to stakes races where the handicapping is not as prone to sketchy detail. I stay away from "doubles" as it is actually quite hard to narrow it down so far.

But if you were referring to what in the States is called a "Daily Double", etc., that is not something I do as it is much too hard to be so specifically right two or more races in-a-row. Hope this helps and best of luck.
