Okay, first of all, you really can't compare a sexual preference to an organization that killed millions of people, including homosexuals. That's just unfair to begin with.
Secondly, if a person is gay or bisexual, and believe in God, shouldn't you be rejoicing that you've won another soul? What happens with that person and another in private is not your concern; they'll take that up with God on "Judgement Day". If anything, if you have a "gay or lesbian Christian", CELEBRATE! The angels are in heaven, so why aren't you?!

The problem is that there are some Christian denominations who have compromised their beliefs. Under true Christianity you are right, it seems like an oxymoron unless the person was doing it because they wanted to change and turn away from homosexuality, but like I said earlier there are some Christian denominations who have compromised their beliefs and have accepted things that are not condoned by the bible.
I think you will see this in some of the answers you get.

Most adulterers probably claim Christianity as their faith, and that's one of the big ten. At least gay Christians can make the rational conclusion that admonitions against homosexuality were a product of the time when homosexuality was not clearly understood. Adultery has always been understood and always considered wrong.

Actually, not all Christians condemn homosexuality. Good Christians cannot condemn homosexuality as that would put them in the position of judging their fellow man. Of course some good Christians pick and choose which of the Biblical lessons they wish to follow. If it is convenient for them, then they adhere to that lesson. If it is not convenient for them, they ignore that lesson. It is a funny system, but it works for them.

No No No, the system condemns you----not the Lord. Ignore the religious fanatics who can make any scripture fit their agenda. The Lord loves all of us. Religious preferences or sexual preferences would not and DO NOT matter to a loving God who created us ALL.

No, because:
1) Christians aren't out to slaughter all the homosexuals.
2) There are lots of people with same gender attractions, who are christian because they still believe in Jesus Christ as a role of savior.
3) There are a lot of people with same gender attraction that don't act on those attractions in order to follow their religion.

A gay Christian is like a Christian with a gambling problem, they are still Christians, they are just as in need of forgiveness as the next person. This is why God's grace is so crazy-sounding to most people! Sin in all forms is offensive to God, as it is an offense against Him. But He still desires to have relationships with us where we trust Him, ask for forgiveness and turn from our sin, so we can be totally in tune with Him, and at peace with ourselves. Being forgiven doesnt transform you into a sinless being, but being in relationship with God will give people the strength they need to turn from sinful habits, addictions and lifestyles.

Why does God make gays and lesbians if its a sin for them to be. Why do churches like the Catholic Church OK child molestation, as long as its done by a priest.
