i am tracking a package of mine and i has this word Retentiondoes any one know what it means?

it means to hold / hold back/ hold in etc... in other words your package is being held somewhere!

This means to hold on to.Like if you have water retention , that means you are not expelling water you are hanging on to it . which isn;t good in that case but you want to track a package so they are holding it for some reason ..

I found a website that says that a retention rate is the student body's overall interest in what is being offered. Not sure if that's right but.. here's the website :)

It's being held back somewhere, for whatever reason. perhaps there's a problem with the package. Do you have a contact number to query this on, the longer you leave it the more chance of it going astray.

I am not sure of what it means in the shipping industry, but the dictionary would define it as having to do with retaining or keeping or holding on to.
