Isn't that a reference to the witness' of Jehovah, the 144,000?
Not very good odds considering the world population is over 6 billion and counting..
I'll take Chicago White Sox - 300 vs. KC. I like those odds

Check out this different interpretation of Biblical prophecy. It is well researched, well written and a bit different from some of the mainstream denominational teaching. The author is a 78 year old bible scholar. This book can be read online in a couple of hours at www.ellisskolfield.com. The name of the book is "The False Prophet"

I rather doubt that too many people are simply standing around "awaiting the rapture."
I've always liked:
James 2:14-26
14. What good is it, my brothers, if a man claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save him? 15. Suppose a brother or sister is without clothes and daily food. 16. If one of you says to him, "Go, I wish you well; keep warm and well fed," but does nothing about his physical needs, what good is it? 17. In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by
action, is dead. 18. But someone will say, "You have faith; I have deeds."Show me your faith without deeds, and i will show you my faith by what i do. 19. You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that-and shudder. 20. You foolish man, do you want evidence that faith without deeds is useless? 21. Was not our ancestor Abraham considered righteous for what he did when he offered his son Isaac on the altar? 22. You see that his faith and his actions were working together and his faith was made complete by what he did. 23. And the scripture was fulfilled that says, "Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness," and he was called God's friend. 24. You see that a person is justified by what he does and not by faith alone. 25. In the same way, was not even Rahab the prostitute considered righteous for what she did when she gave lodging to the spies and sent them off in a different direction? 26. As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead.

where did you get this. The bible does not say only 144,000 Rapture. It say that those who are dead in Christ will rise first then those who are Alive in Christ. The 144,000 You are talking about are 12000 From each Tribe of Israel that would be sealed.

I was hoping you might whisk them away .. they seem so anxious .. and the malcontents make it rough on the rest of us .. Maybe they'd be happier in the sky .. Hand me a pitchfork, shovel and some manure .. and I'll till and make some wonderful vegetable gardens .. I'll be waiting over on the sidelines with the other meek, for our inheritance .. the Earth- she may be a bit soiled and misused- but we still find her beautiful .. and we'll take and keep her ...

Are you suggesting that we die? What if I am prepared. Can I stand and wait then? I've got all my ducks in a row. Jesus likes ducks right? He did create them. Are you getting prepared by surfing the Internet?

The Bible never states that a physical rapture will occur. It says some will be "taken" and some "left behind." This is open to interpretation no matter how many people crank out bad doctrine.

The 144,000 is a JW false belief in their cult. There is ONLY one True God. Read more about all this here...
