Ah love letters.....good for you. My husband and I were only apart for six months however those letters are priceless to me. It formed a great foundation for our relationship and because we were far away, we became great friends during our time apart. I believe those letters helped us to have a successful union of more than 23 years.

You talk about your hopes and dreams.

I would just write him letters letting him know what's happening in your life, what you're experiencing and seeing, and just tell him how much you love and miss him. Guys need validation like that all the time. I would also do a count-down in days on the top of every letter til the day you'll see him again or return home. Kinda romantic. :)

Just let it come from your heart ! I found my Mothers and Fathers letters to each other in the attic from when he was in France during WW2 and they just told each other the days goings on and how much they loved each other and how they would have a wonderful life when he came home.

Don't send just letters. Send packages with stuff you drew and colored and menus from restraunts and a rock from the beach or pcute pictures of yourself. Guys are hands-on. They don't want to just read something; it gets boring. Make what you send him interesting and he'llwait for it like his favorite magazine subscription.

just tell him you miss him and tell him what's going on while you're away so he feels like he's still a part of your life.

why no sex talk? too mushy can get old. but if you really love him, and he really loves you, it really doesn't matter what you write. (just make sure it smells like you)
