Probably smaller. Muscle weighs more than fat, but fat takes up more space. Keep losing fat and you'll look smaller.

You will intially appear to have lost weight (for about the first 3 weeks or so). You may not have actually lost any weight, you may even gain weight. However, because muscle weighs more than fat, you will look smaller at first. After the first few weeks the muscle mass will take over again, and you'll start to look bigger, and more defined. If you want to minimize the appearance of losing weight, work MAJOR muscle groups a little harder during the first few weeks of your cardio program. To burn more fat calories faster, do cardio after your weight session. Your heart rate will already be up, so fat calories will begin burning sooner.

Cardio will make you look smaller. By losing body fat and toning muscle. Lifting weights will make you look bigger by building muscle.

when you work out with the idea of sculpting youreslf, which is what it sounds like you want to do (keep muscle and lose fat so you can see your muscles), it has a lot to do with what you eat, in fact, almost more to do with what you eat than what you do to work out. Eat a diet rich in fruits and vegetables, as much of them as you want, the more the better in fact because it will satisfy your high energy craving but you won't gain any weight from it. Also you want to eat lots of low fat protein, tuna fish is a great, healthy and cheap way to go. If you're into protein bars I would make sure you don't get one with a lot of sugar in it, because its usually refined sugar, and that tends to send you into hunger pangs. You can find all sorts of food info online with a little research, just don't pick one that sounds too good to be true, there's no quick fix diet that works in the long run too. As far as working out, you can have many sorts of combinations of cardio and weightlifting, depending on how much muscle you want to grow. If you don't want to grow lots of muscle, I would do a 70% cardio 30% weight lifting regiment. So if you run or swim or bike three or four or five times a week, you'd probably want to make at least two of those times in which you also do a muscle set work out. Like divide your time between your back, shoulders, and biceps on one day, and on the other you do your chest, triceps, and legs. Do your abs every day, they can handle it. If you want to tone your muscles and not have them grow much, do 2 sets at least 20 repetitions (use enough weight so you're tired but not worn out after each set) with each type of lift you do. If you want to grow, do more weight and do sets of 12, then 10, then 8, and switch that to a 40% cardio 60% weightlifting routine. Have fun, be safe, and trust me on the diet. Six pack abs are 80% diet, 20% work out.

A 16 inch bicep without fat, looks bigger and better than 18 inches with allot of fat around it!

Do your cardio after weight lifting.

Do not over train.

I've been working out for 7 years.. I'm 5'6 3/4 and weigh 135 lbs.
Cardio helps you burn the fat, and using weights help tone the fat.
I recommend you even out cardio, and weights. Use light weights to avoid over toning your body.

Best wishes

Cardio is going to burn fat where as lifting weights could gain more muscle which in turn makes you burn more fat and calories. Either way you will look healthier.

Cardio tends to make you lean - less muscle AND less fat.
Weights make muscle grow.
If you're doing both, you will look less fat and far more muscular/healthy.

You may look "bigger" in the muscles but overall you will seem smaller.

You will be bigger (weigh more from lifting) because muscle weighs more than fat, but you will be in better shape.
