Even if you have to go, keep your mind open and question everything. Don't take what they have to give. Much of it is just the mythology of our society and most every one swallows it as fact. You have to escape mentally from that prison that only manufacturers good little worker/consumers; slaves to the system.

If you're asking about homeschooling (this IS the homeschooling section), check out Grace Llewellyn's book _The Teenage Liberation Handbook_. It's all about escaping the mundane, monotonous life of boredom in high school.

You escape from school by working hard, getting good grades, and graduating. When that happens you may find out that earning a living may be much more difficult than school ever was, and you may wish you were back in school again. You might as well decide to enjoy school.

I dropped out of my Senior year - ended up having to go to homeschool (and ditch out over 3-grand) to pay for my HS diploma before I could go to school. Yes, the 3 grand was mine, but it was the money I had used since I was 16 to try and save up for a nice car. Meh. Lots of work wasted on something I could've done for free.

The reason I dropped out? I had friends that skipped, we skipped some or sophomore year, I skipped about 30ish days junior, and I had 82 skipped days my senior year - so I just dropped out months before graduation.

HOWEVER... if you want to go down that path;

If your school lets you go out to lunch; just don't come back. Leave shortly before your parents get home and come back like if you were at school.

Or

Ask for a hall pass, go to the main office, say you gotta get a book out of your car, then don't come back

Or

Go to the library, wait until class is well under way - if anyone asks you missed a test review and they're testing right now and you're working on the review... then middle of class just walk out a side door and dont' come back.

What do you do ?

Go have sex in a car w/ a G/F all day out in the country.
Or go to another town and go to a mall or coffee shop
Or sneak home and watch TV all day

All of it, honestly, is things you will be able to do once you get a home and a college education. Otherwise you'll keep working the rest of your life. I pulled out of the slacker mode and am about to finish a bachelors, but trust me, it was WAY harder and not even half as enjoyable.

Why?

I got to go to college from 6-10pm mo-thursday while maintaining an apartment, full time job, and had no financial help from scholarships - it was all on loans, and I will be feeling the pain after I graduate.

My friends got to go to a local state school, live in dorms, party up with their friends, had no jobs or meaningful reason to have one; and mostly, they got a lot of female friends, a lot of drinking, a lot of going out.

I missed all that, just because I wanted to skip.

but if that's what you want to do...
