i have NO pets in my house, but i still have fleas. i just don't understand it! i was wondering if mice in your house could bring in fleas???

Mice could definitely carry fleas, but you could also "transport" them into the house if you have been close to an animal that has them. Happened to me - pet a dog that I didn't know had fleas and then all of a sudden I had them in the house! If you have a yard that you walk around in and have a lot of squirrels you could bring them into the house that way as well. Squirrels are notorious for having fleas.

Yes, mice can bring them in. I've seen a mouse in a trap just covered with fleas.
Vacuum your carpet, which is where fleas live and lay eggs. Then sprinkle Twenty Mule Team Borax on the carpet. The Borax in the product will kill the fleas in the carpet and with continued use will kill the fleas that are hatching from the eggs.

Mice could indeed be bringing in fleas. But fleas can also be hard to treat and require a good understanding of them to completely eradicate them. For a stubborn problem, you need to attack each stage of the problem: eggs, larvae and adults.
"Use powder products on the floors before vacuuming and clean out your vacuum when done. Be vigilant cleaning the floors for up to four weeks. A fogger can also help to kill those in nooks and crannies, baseboards, and other crevices they might be lingering. Wash your pets bedding once or twice a week, also for up to 4 weeks. Use disinfectants on hard washable surfaces. Essentially, you want to kill everything you can - those that still survive will be left with nothing to live on and will eventually die."
They can also still be outside in the yard and travel back inside when jumping back on your pet. With the mice, use mouse traps or other rodent controls both inside and out, just be sure that your pets can't get to them.
Eventually you'll get them. Just be vigilant.

Transportation of fleas into the home occurs due to this insect's ability to hop onto a host. Fleas dwelling outdoors may survive under shrubs near buildings, hopping off one host such as a dog, cat or person and then hopping onto a new one. In cases where there are no pets, it has been shown that fleas may come in with other "uninvited" animals such as mice, rats, squirrels or raccoons.

Mice do have fleas. I would get a cat or put out rat poison to the varmints. You can also carry them inside on your clothing, especially if you've been around somebody with pets. Bomb the house, run the vacuum daily and if that doesn't work, get a professional pest control service to come in and spray.

Do you have mice? I you do the could. You also could bring them in from outside they could be grass fleas. I would have someone come check out your house and reccommend ways to get rid of you fleas.

If you live near trees water ways or high grass, flease could be drawn there. Do you have neighbors that have pets? Even if you don't have pets fleas can eat off from your dead skin or hairs that could be in your carpets. The female fles can produce up to 600 offsprings at one time... You could try putting salt on you carpets and weeding around your house, When you mow your yard rake up the grass, fleas live in the dead grass shaving.

yes mice can do that. any animal can. you can. do you live in florida? the dirt is very sandy and it has sand fleas so if you live there they may be coimg in the doors and on you. do you go to someones house who has pets? fleas can travel on your clothes.
pick up somthing for fleas or call an extirmenator. good luck!!

Sometimes just petting other dogs or playing near a dog could easily attract fleas.

Once they're in your house if there aren't any animals for them to feed on, you may be next. You need to figure out if you have mice or other animals, block off their entrances and get rid of them and then treat the flea problem.
