Sounds to me like he's in the earliest stages of infatuation - so many people confuse this phase with "love" - & if it goes on from there & ya'll manage to continue with the romance & the lovey-dovey stuff once the bloom is off, THEN it could develop into love. That early stage, everything is wonderful! You can't wait to see them, you want to talk to them all the time, you can't stop thinking about them, you tell everybody you know how terrific they are . . . ain't it great?! I LOVE that part of new love - but you have to wait & see what comes next. If he hangs around & doesn't change, then I'd say it was safe to say he might truly love you. Give it time & see what develops - enjoy it & good luck!

Also, someone mentioned obsession. While it may not be that, it DOES seem somewhat like he's going overboard. Trust me, as a guy who has done EVERYTHING perfect at the beginning of relationships, you dig a hole you can never climb out of because you did too much good too quickly.

Sounds like he does. But then how do you feel about it? Sometimes the material things we get don't mean anything really but how he makes you feel every day means a lot more.
