They have loads of fat and salt.
But if you're on a budget, you can't beat the price

yes, and no...
instant ramen cant be that good for you, and even "real ramen", with only the soup, and noodles isnt really good for you either (and gets kinda boring after a while)
but, since i think ramen is still awesome, i'll show you how to make it healthy.. =P
here's what i do (since i'm a japanese ramen addict)..I add lots of toppings on my ramen...
here's my favorite kind.
in a small frying pan, fry some cabbage, bean sprouts, onions, and ham...(use little, or no oil)
then, put that aside, and fry an egg (or two)
when you get your ramen done, add the eggs, and all the other stuff on top of the ramen, and add some frozen corn (it'll melt in the ramen)...and...maybe add a little pepper on top
and then, after that, you have a meal with almost all the food groups.. =]
and if you're concerned about the ammount of sodium in ramen, there isnt much salt in the noodles, so just dont drink all the soup! =P
(hint: prepare the toppings before the ramen so the noodles dont overcook, and the ramen will heat everything up again)

processed noodles are actually pretty bad for you.
the worst part is the little packet of sodium and msg you put on them, but there are better things to eat, i promise
i'm a college student, and i know we all have to get by, and ramen seems to help, but even if i just put a little butter on the noodles, i feel sick...granted, they taste yummy, but most of what i eat is just so much healthier than that.

Well due to the high sodium content of the seasoning pack in the Ramen, its bad for you. I still eat them occasionally though for a quick lunch with a meat and vegetable on top of it. ( I drink some water afterwards to try and dilute some of the salt.. ) Just eat with caution, not to be eaten everyday! :)

Excessive amount of Ramen noodles is not good for you. They contain high Sodium, MSG and saturated fat. MSG made it taste good. They are super easy to prepare though.

I think everyone has eaten those soups especially in college when you have no money since they are like 12 cents. Anyway its not healthy for you at all. It has so much soooo salt its ridiculous. Check out the sodium on the packet - its pretty scary. Definitely not good for blood pressure. But hey I still eat them occasionally

No, it is not super bad for you. Keep in mind, that it is simply a filler food and has no real nutritional value. It can be bad for you if you have high blood pressure because it contains a high amount of sodium.

They're not the worst thing you can eat, although the sodium content is extremely high. Just moderate how often you eat them and you should be fine. Us college students live on them!

I dont think so,however the sauce packets have so much sodium in them that if you eat more than one bowl in a day, you exceeded the daily allowance.

They are full of fat and calories but when I first got married we survived on them for about a year and we didn't get fat. I thought I would never eat them again but they still make a tasty meal every now and again.
