I would check to see if his income is even relevant to your case. If DSS wont assist you with medical, try Health Department. At the very least, they have to ensure the children have health care. It also depends on what they consider a luxery. For example some DSS's consider electric a luxery, rather than a necessity. Their going to look at all the factors. You know times are hard. It's hard to find childcare thats affordable or that your kids will be safe at. In no way does it mean stop trying, but you do what you have to do to better your family. I was on assistance a while back. My Husband lost his job, I was a stay at home Mom. Things are still hard, but we're not on assistance any longer. No one should criticize until they have been through something like that because you have no idea what its like to be in those shoes. Contrary to popular belief, not everyone on assistance wants to be there and the assistance isnt as friendly or aiding as people think. Best of luck to you and your family hun.

WOW considering that you lectured me for having 3 kids and said that I must be black for having 3 kids, I think this is EXTREMELY funny. I am truly laughing my butt off at you.

See I may have 3 kids, but I have NEVER been on government assistance. I don't work, I stay at home with my youngest while my older boys are in school. If you are sooooo hard up for money why don't you get a JOB at a DAYCARE.....that way you can have your kids at work with you. I mean really any intelligent person who goes back and reads some of your previous questions can sum up these facts about you:
~you are on government assistance
~you have a boyfriend that is currently married to someone else
~you have had child protective services out to your house for suspected child abuse
~your boyfriend has a suspended license for being a repeat offender
~you are a convicted felon
~you violated your probation
~and you feel like your infant (whose 6 months old) is choosing to torture you by acting up and fussing on purpose

Looking at all of these FACTS, I would say that you need more help than just government assistance.

Most of the time, your bills are taken into account too. I understand work not actually helping but rather costing you money. I have two little ones and even if I could work (I have uncontrolled epilepsy) it wouldn't make us any money. The rules for medical assistance are usually less stringent than for food and certainly less stringent than for cash. Make sure you are truthful and cooperate with Family Services, lying to get help, will only hurt in the long run.
Legal Aide and some private attorneys work with people in dealing with the state and assistance, they could help you.

I know nothing about Fl laws, but I do know here in NC. They take a combined income of who lives in the household. Then make their decision on that. Unfort, you would not be able to get it here.

My friend was going through the same thing. It didnt matter whether the BF was the father or not. She could of had roomates and they would have counted them.

Good Luck! If at all possible I would look for a job that had a benefits package that your whole family could be on.

I live in texas and from the way medicaid works here is if you don't qualify for medicaid, they either send you an application for CHIPS, or automatically send it for you. I think CHIPS is another government funded program for children without insurance. If that doesn't work go to your local church, even if your not a member they can direct you to doctors offices that offer free or discounted services for your kids, food pantries and even possibly help with rent and utility bills. I hope this helps.

i think you should be eligable. i have four kids though and recieve child support and my husband make over 11. an hr. they cut us off and we are struggling bad. but i was single and had to rely on it for a long time it feels kinda good doing it on your own. i know what you meen about not working if i went to work it would cost more in child care than what i would make at work. so i stay at home. in my state you have to work to recieve food stamps. do you have any child care ***. programs there? they pay most of your payments. im not eligable becouse we make too much. so either way we are broke working or not. doesnt make a lot of sense to me.

A few weeks ago you said you had the luxury of staying at home with your kids because you are a model and make really good money. Why do you keep making up stories?

You also claimed to have went to the Bahamas recently and how much you paid etc.

Go to the department of family and children. They will assist you and determine what you are eligible for. Don't stress over the unknown when you can get answers. Good Luck.

You would have to go to the welfare office to see, you need to bring all your bills and pay stubs.. Go to the local church or catholic charities for help if needed. They might be able to provide food and clothes.
There are plenty of resources, you just need to look into it....go online.
Good luck.
