Or should I say...what's less worse for you?

(Please don't say both are bad for you...that's not helpful...)

Coffee - Depending on how you have it, it can be great for you. If you put a ton of sugar and cream in it, it's still not quite as bad as soda, but it's still pretty bad for you.

Sodas - any of the dark-colored sodas have the equivalence of 10 spoons of sugar or more in high fructose syrup. This stuff is used as a sweetener and is cheaper to use for manufactures than sugar is, so it's used very very widely. The problem is, the body doesn't know how to process it properly, so it immediately converts into fat cells. This stuff is in all dark sodas, including the diet stuff and other products including juice! Have you ever tried organic orange juice and non-organic side by side? Your taste buds will pick up a significant difference. Stuff using high fructose is really quite bad for you and your health, so looking for alternatives, even just plain sugar, is much better. If you can get your hands on them, I've heard that Mexican sodas actually use real sugar, and they taste incredibly different.

Experience to point out - my mother cut out all soda from her diet and in less than 6 months went from a size 24 to a 16. That's pretty massive. She didn't add exercises and she didn't do anything else different in her diet, she just cut out the soda.

Caffeine has been proven to actually have considerable benefits including sharpness of short-term memory (it stimulates the centers of your brain that directly effect your short-term memory and processing), its great for asthmatics (and since more and more people are being diagnosed with asthma, that's a big thing), and a lot more.

Just go to yahoo's health news and type in the search "Coffee" and you'll see a massive list of results discussing the benefits of the 1-2 cups of java.

Coffee- if you only drink 2-3 cups a day coffee has been proven to be very good for you. It has antioxidants, and helps the immune system a great deal. It also helps your memory, and if you drink alcohol the night before, coffee actually helps the liver the next day with getting back to normal functioning.

Coffee is better.

A plain cup of coffee with nothing in it has 0 calories, and with about as much caffiene as a cup of tea.
A plain can of Coke Classic has considerably more caffiene and 140 calories... plus, I've been told that the aluminum in soda cans aids in bringing on Alzheimer's Disease.

And the more you add to either one, the worse it gets.

I would think coffee (black coffee, unsweetened) is a bit better - soda has all that other crap in it that's horrible for you. Unless, of course, you put tons of cream and sugar in your coffee, or drink just the fancy ones.
