dead people as ghosts, no.
We do live in a spiritual world, though.
There are demons out there. They are making themselves known to me more. Probably because I am making them nervous, because I try to do more for Jesus than ever before.
demons angels that fell when God kicked satan out of Heaven. the Bible says that 1/3 of all the angels went with satan.

Well, not really; but in some cases (which are extremely rare), "restless souls" with certain motivations, often unkindly, have been known to menace the lives of tranquil households. Don't know the intention behind that, but ghosts are often attributed with mischievious conduct, and so, it's often disruptive; yearning, or vengeful. And if you want my religious viewpoint, I'd say the entity is not a human spirit, but more likely...a demon; as I believe without the shadow of a doubt that demons and the devil exist, as the countless references in the bible (Old and New) make explicitly clear.
Only a couple of days ago, while surfing the net for the word "terror", I strumbled across a new website which turned out to belong to a book titled "Terror at the Terminals". Frankly the site of the cover dragged my leg into further inquiring, and I must say, it seems there's a new book on the market which promises considerable sales. It has some singularities about it, it seems, set in a fuel terminals on the southern coast of Iceland; Mmm!
Unlike some books and movies that I've seen, this one seems to set some serious questions about whether ghosts can seek vengeance, or even manifest an ability over solid matter and so on and so forth. This sure is one book I'd consider going after.
Yes, whether I believe in them or not, ghosts are one topic that tickles my feline curiosity.

I do believe in spooks, I do believe in spooks, I do, I do, I do, I do, I do!
I think the separation between this life and the next is a lot thinner than most people think it is. I don't believe in the God/Heaven/Hell thing, but I do believe in another plane of existence. I just don't think that plane is quite as removed from this one as most people have been taught.
And I grew up in a haunted house, too. It was just that build up of energy. When I moved into a brand new house, it felt so empty (until the memories associated with the ground began to seep in).

My dad doesn't believe either but I very very much believe....especially after hearing stories from my mom & a few of my friends' parents about personal experiences while they were growing up. My mom babysat in a 100 year old house that was clearly haunted AND could feel someone sitting on the edge of her bed when there was nobody there. Also, a friend's sister took a picture of an extremely old tree that was going to be taken out of a cemetary & when it was developed there was a glowy outline of a person standing next to one of the gravestones. We know it wasn't like an overexposure or anything cause we checked the pictures taken before & after that one & they didn't have any people in them. I saw the picture myself & it was creeeeeepy!

For one thing, stop arguing over something so petty. Secondly, there is no such thing as ghosts. Evil spirits on the other hand are real. But why focus on things from below. Put your mind on the Lord your God. Is that not better. There is no fear in God. He is peace. He is love. Look to him. He will guide you. And if you have evil spirits around ever, bind them up in Jesus name by saying exactly that and rebuke them in Jesus name. No demon or evil spirit can stand against the name of Jesus Christ of Nazereth.

I agree with the Catholic exorcists that spirits can infest a person but not a house. My wife argues with me too. She grew up in a house that she thought was haunted. All Christians believe in spirits but I think the argument is about behavior and the specific scientifics of man's connection to spirits. Swedenborg didn't really mention hauntings. Christ said that you can cast out spirits out of people by His name.

Even in scripture there are spirits...not human ghosts...around. But the apparitions that have been observed and experienced and spoken of by trustworthy witnesses should be understood for what they are. I believe they are not the spirit of a person, they are a deception from a different kind of spirit...a demonic trick to distract us from the Way.

I dont believe in "ghosts" but I believe in spirits. There are many paranormal things happening to people, that is just too hard to shrug off. I definatly believe of something related to spirits
Just go to the house that is haunted and say "Spirits go to the light, go to God"

Ghost is a word that brings to mind images of ghost busters or casper.
I prefer to use the word spirits.
Yes, I believe in spirits.
We have them.
One in particular that everyone in the house can sense.
My daughter named him, "Dennis."
He moved with us too.
He spends time mostly in the basement.
I believe that spirits can attach themselves to things. This is where we refer to the word, "haunted."
Spirits are good but they can be bad.
They can also be cast out in the name of Jesus Christ, command them to be gone.
Our resident "ghost" can usually only be felt, but sometimes it has made things to move, so as to make noise. I also see, but it's more like seeing a blur, that's all I see. Like when you see something out of the corner of your eye. I see something but I can't make anything out clearly.
It's more of a feeling.
Even my husband has had these feelings.
One night we walked into our sunroom and he got the chills, goosebumps, and I started to cry.
Tese are the paranormal expereinces everyone most likely has had but chooses not to acknowledge for whatever reason.
Spirits are real, I believe.

Saul went to the witch of Endor and asked for a spirit to be called up. Jesus cast out demons.
"Ghosts" are demons. Take authority over your house and cast the thing out.
