You broke a vein in your hand. That blue swollen spot is blood under the skin. You did fine in your treatment. It's not serious and will turn into a flat bruise and then go through the bruise healing stages, you know blue to green to yellow to normal again.

You have a hematoma. That a swelling of blood. Keep it iced, elevated, take what you normally use for pain control and avoid use of this hand.

Now, you've stated "can move it". Did you mean that you CAN'T move it? If so, first reduce some of the swelling with ice and elevation then attempt to move your fingers. If you still cannot, see your health care provider who may want to order a hand X-ray. It's possible that you have a fracture. If you CAN move it, this doesn't guarantee you don't have a fracture but the likelihood is far less.

I'd also suggest some form of anger management therapy for your sake and for the sake of your hands.

Probably just bruised under the skin. Continue to put ice on it and keep it elevated above the level of your heart as much as possible for 24 hours. Rest it as much as possible. The swelling should go down in a few hours. The bruising will take a few days to disappear.

If it gets more swollen or the fingers get numb (tingling), see a doctor.

It sounds like you busted a vein. That burns and stings like the devil. Ice is the best thing for it. The blue will become a bruise and the swelling will fade. You might try an anti inflammatory, such as Tylenol Ibuprofen or aspirin to help with pain and swelling.

well sounds like you bruised it, and possibly popped a blood vessel..not much you can do till it heals, put it in a bowl of ice and water...wrap it up with an ace bandage and try not to use to for at least a week till it has a chance to heal.

Yes, ice it down and learn to control your temper, ding dong. You may have fractured your knuckle.
