I know they are about 2-3 grand but I'm out of commisson until Jan 07 and my mother in law is gung ho about them.

I meant are those re-bath or new shower cover systems where they put an arcylic cover over the tub and shower, new facuets and no grout or tile worth the 2-3 grand?

Hey Captain,
I know exacly what you're talking about and if someone tries to charge you more than $900-$1000 (materials+labor) for this system run them off. I wouldn't charge $3000.00 to retile your whole bathroom.
I can smell a con-artist a mile away and it sounds like your mother in law is getting ready to fall victim to one.

Hell no!!! We had our entire bathroom renovated for about 3K. Jacuzzi tub = $1200. Marble tile $400. Custom cut sink and cabinet $1200. We did do the install ourselves but I can't image it would cost that much to just cover a shower! Get some quotes on how much it would cost to replace the shower. I think it should cost about $1500 to $2K for materials and install and that's for a kick a** shower.

I have no idea what you are talking about.. Your question is just not clear.. Is it a jacuzzi(inside or outside the house), etc?

they really look so ugly and cheap and not easy to clean. over time they start to yellowish.
