Why a short amount of time? Make it a lifelong commitment. If you don't it will be just like someone who gains and loses weight all the time...hard on your body. Great exercises include all of your body. Go to a gym ("Y") and use dumbbells for arms....they use more muscles because you have to control the weight also. If you are just getting started exercising, do crunches and leg lifts everyday and after a while start adding harder exercises (keep doing your crunches though). For thighs, if you want to loose size (fat) on them...run or bike. If you want to add size and definition...squats and lunges will work great. Light weights and many reps add definition (looks tongue hard on a lady) and heavier weights and low reps add bulk. There will be a lot of people at the gym that can help (they love to talk about what they know) and the atmosphere is positive. The gym also has a lot of machines to vary your work-out so it won't get stale. Good luck!!

lift all the weight that you can and do it until you are so tired you can't do a repetition. In order to grow muscle, it has to break, the quicker way to break it is to use a lot of weight and lift them the times you can. Also try increasing the amount of protein you eat and do some cardio (not the same day you lift weights) to get rid of the body fat.

DANCE even if you can't and you think you look stupid. just dance your little butt off when you're alone in your room. it tones every muscle in your body and burns calories plus its FUN so you'll do it for longer.
