as long as you have a cloth diaper underneath. If you don't your baby is gonna be sitting in nothing but wet. And will or can get an infection. Or it will get all over the place easier. But babies can get diaper rashes no matter what. If it hasn't leaked and you change your baby as soon as he or she gets wet or dirty, change them ASAP. But I'd say make sure the baby has a cloth diaper on under the rubber pants.

Plastic Baby Pants

If you mean just the plastic diaper covers, I wouldn't, they could cause a pretty mean diaper rash. The all-in-one type of pants are meant to be worn without a diaper. I'm not sure why you would want to put just the plastic pants on unless you mean for swimming, then I just buy the stupid and overpriced swim pants. They do work well.

No. If I understand this question. The reason for the plastic pants is to keep the diaper from leaking. Besides plastic get hot and will stick to the child and you'll have a bigger mess without the diaper, Or just get disposal diapers.

Not okay. Plastic pants are designed to stop leaks if the infant is wearing cloth nappies. They are not designed as a singular protection. The results of this action could be urine burn and acid rash caused by uric acid coming into contact with the child's groin and privates.

Use plastic pants by all means, but use them WITH the nappy.

I would not encourage it.

One thing about most modern diapers is that the wick moisture away from the skin - thus reducing diaper rash.

Rubber pants would require you to clean both the child and the pants - where as disposable diapers are remove and discard.

I can only imagine you are asking this for yourself to wear. Of course you can, but if you wear them for any length of time they get hot and sweaty, everything will slide around inside. On top of that, if you wear them too long you will get one heck of a diaper rash, even if you use powder.

But. . . . that said, the feel of the plastic against the skin is a nice feeling. For short periods of time it can be fun but you need to limit it to keep from getting rashes.

Have fun.

I assume you mean on a baby. No, you can get pretty awful diaper rash because the plastic pants don't allow much air through.

no....think about how that would feel...the body heat alone will cause the plastic to kinda cling to the skin, and with no ventilation it would get really hot down there causing the baby to sweat. Only use it with the diapers. Are you thinking of using these for going to a water park?

you're kidding right? NO WAY!!! diapers are there to absorb any liquid,,, tell you what... put the plastic pants tightly over your head and try to breathe! What! can't get any air? Well neither can your baby's bottom....
