My partner and I love to have Island Pan Barbecued Shrimp served with French Bread and a rice side dish.
Island Pan Barbecued Shrimp recipe:
marinade large shrimp in a mix of olive oil, rosemary, thyme, cayenne pepper to taste, garlic, salt and pepper.
Then all you have to do is saute it in a hot skillet for about 5 mins. or until shrimp are pink. Goes very well with Plum wine..OOOOH. Enjoy gals.

Woah! i am shocked with your great question really! but i'll just give you some advices... =)...
Candles can help the date more romantic by putting it on the center as light and the center of attraction.
Petals of Rose in the pathway to attract the one you love must be white and red.
and a butterfly can make a full bloomed date as you make it fly.
for food, meal?
Handy foods (you can hold it using your hands) can also be engage with the date.
Or a very apetizing one! Asparagus! really! woah!
But you know, The meal, the set-up of the date, the place, the budget is not very important so...
because the importance... the feelings... the love that you have for his/her! you know! it's something about emotions...
If you're serious, if you really love him/her well even just on text, on the road, on your house, on the car you can say it...
got yah?

If she likes seafood, go for it, but not a whole lobster, it's supposed to be romantic, not messy (unless it's what you want). Oyster have the reputation to also be aphrodisiac. If you like asian, try sushi. If you can make you're own, even better! Have a bottle of sake to top it off, some candles and good mood music "a la" Sarah McClachlan.
