In all honesty, i don't know where people get off saying spanish is popular, mostly spoken in the americas.... and of coz spain ;p Most popular languages in the US is for sure english and spanish tho.

Reasons why the first two are so popular is because most of the world's population is locked up in china and india... arabic because of the muslim population.(one has to speak alittle to even pray)

The most native speakers is Chinese by a long shot. But the most widely used is probably English and then Spanish.
