I thawed out some hamburger Monday night. I wrapped it up and put it in the refrigerater. Is it still okay to cook it and then freeze it, or is it not any good anymore?

smell it, if it smells funny toss it. otherwise cook it up and freeze it for use in spaghetti, sloppy joe's , etc. you can always cook it this way before freezing next time and you're good to go for the next meal. all you have to do is nuke it or run it under hot water to thaw. i just add it crumbled and frozen to sauces, it can thaw as the sauce cooks.

If you thawed it in the fridge Monday night, it's still ok to cook it. Take a good whiff and make sure it has no bad odor, other than the usual odor of raw meat.

I think thawed hamburger is ok for a couple of days at the most. If it starts to turn a grey color or you smell something funny coming from it then toss it.

to keep unthawed hamburger for longer than three days is dangerous but if you cook it you can put it back into the freezer do not put thawed meats back into the freezer without thoroughly cooking it first

I wouldn't use it. I find that most hamburger meat tends to smell after one day and the meat turns a dark color.

a couple of days. but just because the meat is brown, which is oxidation, it doesn't meant that the meat is bad. the best way to tell is to smell. but once it turns brown you better cook that day.

If all of the meat is already dark brown I would not chance it. Otherwise, cook it as soon as possible.

Ground beef or any meat that you defrost should be used that day. Or no later then the next morning.
