I am in the process of purchasing a car for the first time. When i pay my down payment which will be $800 will they take the tax, title, and registration out of that or is is separate? If so about how much will that cost?

depends on what state you live in. They will take the tax and tags, but it also depends on the type of car you get that will tell u how much you'll pay.

DON"T get a Mitsubishi Eclipse for u'r first car. they are impossible to get rid of once you have it and they have a Giant Blind spot!

Also, Get The GAP insurance, which will be included in the payment each month, u don't have to pay for that the day of the purchase. and the downpayment should pay for all the Tax Tags and Registration. GOOD LUCK. and be safe.

They roll the tax and tags into the overall number then deduct the 800 from the overall price

example: if a car costs $24,000 you can expect to pay about $1500.00 in Tax and tags. That would bring your total to 25,500 they would then back your 800 out from that number leaving you 24,700 to pay off. They don't usually include the Tax and tags number in the sticker price. Just ask the dealer for an "out the door number". That would be a tax and tags included number.
