They probably just don't think it is necessary to be as clear as possible when trying to make a point or ask a question. Few people are perfectionist when it comes to communication, or anything else for that matter. I believe that lack of clarity is one of the biggest reasons there is so much misunderstanding between peoples with different view points.

Much of our society refuses to stress that if you cannot spell, speak, read, and write correct English, you will not be understood, or worse, not taken seriously. Our minorities come from countries that do not want an educated populace.
Thus, our system of education de-stresses the need for constant correction of our language.
There aren't very many parents out there who want their children to be smarter than they are,
but they all want their children to be more successful--success in this country is tied to the language, including the spelling.
Some people who spell badly are just too lazy;
others may actually not know that they are misspelling. Spellcheckers only correct words;
not the logic of the words. B.

spellcheck there half the time is inaccurate and i'm lazy.
why are people so frustrated that spelling all the sudden is a dire issue.
since most is actually TYPOS! not spelling issues, typos are missed over 75% of the time. considering it's not a spelling issue since most do know how to spell but the fingers hit the wrong key.
i kinda feel bad for those who fuss and worry over things like this in places such as yahoo answers.. it's yahoo answers, not a resume or a spelling test.

I think peopkle don't spellcheck because, a long time ago people thought it was cool to right stuff like Lv for lord voltemort. So and it is just slowing you down and because sometimes it gives you the wrong word. Thats all i got!

I hate when people do not use spell check. It is an easy and valuable tool to use. It shows others that you really do not care what they think of you. It is unacceptable in the business world to send out anything with typos.
Lazy? Yes! Sloppy? Yes!

For the same reason they ask questions on here that have complete information available by using a search engine.

That is an excellent question. I'm guessing they are just stupid instead of being lazy or not caring.

Some are really young and some probably don't care. I don't do spell check just cause I forget.

Some people type absentmindedly, or in a rush. And then some people are too cocky to admit their spelling errors and try to fix them.
