It is hard to talk about his race because this is a concept that did not exist then, it really was developed during the 17th and 18th centuries. If we think about ethnicity, that is easier. He is said to be a descendant of David, which makes him a Semite, and more specifically a Jew. These are not racial groups, Semite refers to the language group, Jew refers to the ethno-religious group.

Colour is an even bigger problem, because what people refer to as the different colours of people are very much influenced by their cultural background and beliefs. It's a very ill-defined area.

Nobody told me the race or colour of Jesus, because it is not relevant.
It's not the most important part of anyone. I agree with the one who said he was a member of the human race.

What is more important? The Man or the Message?

Why are so many people hung up on "What did Jesus look like?" or "Did you know Jesus didn't have blonde hair?"

Who cares? It is far more important to follow the message and know what that was than to have silly arguments over his hair and/or ethnic make up.

Take a look at Israel today. . .chances are he looked a lot like the people there.

Wouldn't my mother turn over in her grave if she saw these answers. She thought the lighter skin and bluer the eyes, the better class a person was. She was a Christian. I am a Jew-by choice.

And, Adam is from the Hebrew word for man, I do believe.

His mother was Hebrew (Jewish). His Father was God. He would probably have looked Jewish because nowhere in the Bible does it comment about the fact that He looked differently than other people in the area. It really doesn't matter what color He was. Since all people on earth are descended from Adam and Eve, and Noah; we all have the same need for Christ. I don't care if He was purple, I'm just glad He came to redeem us.

Jesus was a Jewish man. He had olive skin. Think a little lighter(very little) then a person from India. Or if you think of the same skin color as Sadam (only trying to give an example of skin color. That would be the only similarity)

what makes you all think he didn't have blue eyes or fair hair.? Of course Middle Eastern and even Indian people have fair haired and blue eyed and green eyes people? If you see a lot of north Indians they have light skin and blue or green eyes and so do many Jewish and Arab people. Don't assume that a fair skin and blue or green eyes only belong to the Europeans. Sorry they don't!!! I am a European and I am dark for a European and I am not mixed in any way so it works both ways.

Jesus was a middle eastern Jew with dark skin. He would have had possibly curly hair and a rather flat face and flat nose.

He would not have been white, and Jesus was not (as I hear many times) a Christian - lol

Most people would assume that he had an Arab-like complexion, but according to the Prophet Mohamed, Jesus was rather fair-skinned. He compared him to a guy who just come out of the shower

Jesus was a middle easterner. Most likely he was some shade of brown since he was outside all the time.
It's simple logic, he was from Israel, his mother was (what would now be) Turkish.
