Answers regarding cardio and weight training are spot-on. Let me add one thing: your cardio should be short and intense. A long time on a machine does not mean better results. Ironically, if you get into a "steady state" exercise for a while, your body goes into survival mode. In essence, by exercising for a long time, say 60 minutes, you're telling your body that it needs to store up energy (read: fat) in order to complete the workout.

Instead, do short bursts of about 30 minutes on a treadmill or a bike.

On a treadmill, vary the speed so that you are running hard for a while, then jogging slower. Also vary the incline -- raise it up to 4 degrees and walk at a steady clip for a few minutes, then lower it and jog for a while. Do some research on "High Intensity Interval Training" on the web.

At the same time, it is crucial to know that in order to lose fat, you need a DEFICIT of calories. That is, you must use more calories in a day than you take in.

Here is a key: doing a "steady state" cardio workout for 60 minutes burns calories during the exercise. Doing high intensity interval training burns calories during your workout and after your workout. (Spinning classes are a popular example of high intensity interval training.)

cardio kickboxing

Consider your current level of fitness. Don't make an aggressive martial arts -based program your first foray into exercise. If you have arthritis, tight hamstrings, an inflexible back or other physical limitations, you might not be a good candidate for aerobic kickboxing.

Even if you are in good shape and participate in cross training programs, take it easy until your body adapts to a new type of move. Drink plenty of water before, during and after your workout.

Beginners especially should avoid high kicks until they get used to the routine and become more flexible.

Do not lock your joints when throwing kicks or punches.

Do not overextend kicks. Kicks only as high as you can raise your leg while maintaining proper body alignment. Wear aerobic shoes or other lightweight athletic shoes designed for pivots and lateral movements. You could risk a sprained ankle if you wear running or walking shoes on carpet, IDEA warns.

Any time that you strike the air with kicks or punches you are working on speed and form. In order to develop the larger muscles you have to have resistance. Hitting a heavy (punching) bag is similar to weight training because it provides resistance. Keith Vital former world karate champion.

NOTE: Before enrolling in a cardio-kickboxing class or any new exercise program for that matter, discuss your plan with your doctor and obtain medical clearance.

Just so you know, your diet is how you eat all of the time(it's not an appropriate term for weight loss unless you're making a life change), so if you stop one diet and go back to bad foods, then you're going to gain weight again. You should try eating healthier, less fried foods, more fresh vegetables/fruits and grilled/baked meats. If you start swimming/running every other day for 30-60 mins you'll lose weight really quickly (after swimming/running you'll be really hungry, make sure you eat healthy).

* cleansing diets are bad for you if you use them continuously, they will rid your body of toxins, but you're also ridding your body of nutrients so eventually (after more than a couple of days) it'll start to work against you. If you starve yourself then your body stores anything you eat as fat, it's alot harder to burn it off.

I'm not really a big fan of diets. Eating well and exercises are the No.1 things a person can do. Try physical work, or sports. Maybe you should join the gym with some of your friends.

rather than diet, just exercise at least 4 times a week. Focus on cardio fat burning like running. It's better than a diet and you can still eat normal amounts of food, although you should eat healthy types of food most of the time.

Exercise with weight training. Don't lift a lot of weight. Lift a little weight a lot of times to get the tone and loose the chub. Be consistent and try to eat good.

All answers are good.

No one should diet, life style change and exercise is the only answer and the final answer.

Churby (fat) in the places you have is easy to break down by exercise. In this respect you are lucky.

Go to biomass index on line and find your ideal weight and the ideal calories in take. Be very active and stick to calorie in take level. You will stay trim and fit in no time, and you will feel good, healthy and alert.

You did not get this fat over night; you can not get this fat out in few days and keep it out. If you follow my advice you will loose this fat slowly, by doing very specific exercises, you will find them on line.

Most female are suppose to have some fat, in absence of fat their body functions do operate as it should, irregular period, difficulty conceiving........ See a doctor to find out more about this, print this out and show it to her or him.

Again, diet never works only life style change and exercise works (you do not have to go to gym; you just have to be more active and do specific exercises for those specific results).
