He who sheds man"s blood
shall have his blood shed by man
For in the image of God
Man was made.
Genesis 9: 6
When he said that he was God, was he saying that all men were God, in the sense that we were made in God's image, and therefore we should learn to love that about each other? I went back and re-read this part of Genesis and, after reading the Gospels, had a different view of it's meaning. Thoughts?

I like where your thinking is going. A humanist's approach to the bible is the one that makes the most sense to me. People seem to get too caught up in arguing minor inconsistencies or cases of illogic. Looking to bettering one's self--and, by extension, mankind--should be what it's about. Bravo!

You are confusing the Old and New Testaments, if you are a Christian then the teachings of The New Testament take precedence, otherwise you should really consider yourself Jewish!
