the girl said she likes me but when the guy asked her out she said no and the cant get over her i dnt know weather to ask her out or not

I depends on how strong your friendship is and how much you value it. If you end up with the girl he will be embarrassed and angry, and may stop being friends with you. If neither of you get the girl, you will both feel rejection, but still be friends. I would personally not pursue the girl, because few quick relationships are really worth losing a friend. The attraction will fade, and you will cease to like her at all.

If she doesn't like him then I'd say you should ask her out ... OK so your friend will be a bit p***ed at you for a while but if your friendship is strong enough he'll get over it.
Besides which, she might not like you either so you'll both be knocked back and then you can both say she wasn't worth it!

some say that mates should never date the same girl. others say if she's free then she's free to choose whoever. I have known friendships ruined because of this situation, so be sure that you like her enough to compensate should your friend never speak to you again! on the other hand, I dated my ex's best mate, and all good on that front, they are still mates.

talk to ur friend, work something out, it might die down, or u might get lucky, if you had 2 choose between ur m8 n this girl who would u choose? if its ur m8, just let him do what he wants, if u like the girl, go 4 it

I think that you and your friend should leave her, no matter how beautiful she is...tell him that he is more important than that girl, because girls will come and go, but FRIENDS, they stay with you for all your life...
