I'm sorry, but you are ALL wrong. The song (by Sérgio Mendes and now popular by Black Eyed Peas featuring him) is (Brazilian) Portuguese, not Spanish!
"Mas" in Portuguese means "but".
Don't confuse it with Spanish "más", meaning "more".
"More than anything" in Portuguese would be "mais do que nada"!
"mas que nada" is untranslatable. It means something like, "what a little detail" "what a nuisance", or as stated in wikipedia "Yeah, right".

"Más que nada" (roughly an expression equivalent of Yeah, right! in English) is the signature song of Brazilian musician and performer Sergio Mendes, written by Brazilian Jorge Ben Jor. In the United States, it is one of the few Brazilian songs that are widely recognized (the most famous being, of course, A Garota de Ipanema). It is worth noting that in the United States, the song is popularly credited to Sergio Mendes' with Jorge Ben Jor unknown, whereas in Brazil, the reverse is true.

Yes, it is Spanish. It says, "More than nothing."
It means: "More than anything." Trust me, it is just one of those idiosyncrasies of the language.
