Every night I lock my cats (I have 4 right now;Ive' had as many as 8) in the garage, and every morning I feed them, make sure they have water, and after I see their done eating I let them out. But I seem to have this one cat that started to always whine in the morning. I give him food and he eats his fill, I give him water, he drinks till he's content, and I let him out in the morning and he goes out still whining about something. I cant figure out what's wrong with him or what he wants. I also notice that he always runs up the street to the house on the oppisite end. As far as I've noticed the people at that other house avoid the cat and presumedly dont do anything to or for the cat.
Somone please tell me what I'm missing and what the cat keeps whining or complaning about?

I would ask a vet! It could be something simple or he/she could have a problem. Maybe the vet will have your solution.

Hi Maurice...he sounds like he's becoming a vocal kitty. Some cats are more talkative than others. Because it is a recent development it could mean he is looking for additional attention. Running to the house on the opposite end of the street is another sign that he may be looking for attention possibly from somone who's offered it before when you were away from home. If he doesn't have any loss of appetite, showing signs of sudden weight loss, acting lethargic, aggressively...anything physically out of the ordinary then he's probably telling you that he wants you to pay more attention to him.

Do you spend anytime with him? If not try that and see if he stops. I have a male cat that does the same thing. He just wants some attention. Also is your male fixed? I have two male cats. One is fixed the other is not. The one that is fixed is the one that hollers, the other does not. So it might have something to do with being fixed.

is he neutered?? all cats should be spayed or neutered -
they should have access to food 24 hours a day as cats tummies are small so they do best if they can eat little bits throughout the day.. if you only feed them like this it could be you are forcing him to eat too much at one time and his tummy hurts.. especially if you are on any foods from grocery or wal mart....

on the whole I would say you are not a good pet owner.. keeping cats in the garage then letting them roam the neighbourhood is not in the best interest of the cats, and its only a matter of time before your neighbours get pissed and start killing cats or stealing them and dumping them in other areas... please fence your yard so your cats dont wander...

Maybe they hurt him or the other cats. Or maybe they just have other cats in the house and he in due to hormones or he smells catnip. Some cats are vocal, b/c of their personalities, so he maybe feels like he's saying, "Dad Listen, I'm trying to tell you something"...

Someone there may be messing with him. Try leaving him in the house or garage during the day if it seems like he does not want to be out.

I would bet that house has a female cat in heat.....as it sounds like your cat is a male.

Either your cats in heat and his kitty lover lives at that house, or my husbands annoying cat meows when she wants attention, and not a little, no, you have to pick her up and talk to her....

Anybody who does not realize that cats don't belong outside, should NEVER be allowed to have a cat.
