Boy, can I ever answer this one- since I have gallstones and have had attacks.

You will feel pain on the right side, up under your ribs. You may also be nauseous, and the pain can be mild or excruciating. It radiates around to the back also.

You may notice it happening if you eat fatty foods, lay down after you eat, or you skip meals.

The pain is cause by having a gallstone move down the bile duct. It can get stuck, so if the pain continues get the the doctor. I have been to the ER twice over attacks, and I am not a wimp (2 natural deliveries with almost 9 pound babies)

I don't want my gallbladder out. I do liver flushes (just google this- it's gross but I haven't had an attack in a couple of years now.)

I have to agree with Renee about the symptoms. I ended up having mine removed when I was 19. I cannot explain the pain, worst I have ever felt. If you truly have gallstones, something HAS to be done. Whether you do the whole liver-flush thing (I honestly couldn't confirm if it worked for me as I no longer have the related organ, sorry) or surgery, or diet change, do something. I ended up with Pancreitis because a stone lodged in the duct that connects it to the bile duct.

While gallstones, by themselves are not fatal (just painful), your pancreas is a vital organ. I'm not sure what else could get damaged down there, but none of it can be good. The pancreas pain was even worse than the usual gallstone pain. Debilitating, to say the least. Good luck, I hope things work out for you.

Pain in the upper abdomen and upper back. The pain may last a long time (several hours).
Nausea
Vomiting
Other gastrointestinal problems, including bloating, indigestion and gas
Gallstones cause the worst pain ever and women with multiple births are likely to get them. Stones are two types Bellirubin and cholesterol . Your genetics, weight and lack of mobility can cause them. If you have a pain in the abdomen see a doctor ASAP could be sign of other problem that could be life threatening.

I think it hurt her to breath because she was hurting so bad, she didn't know what it was! My neice said hers caused her to be constipated and her stomach hurt alot, like feeling gasie all the time. The five signs for gallbladder( they all begin with F!) diease is:Fat, Female,Forty,Farting, and Fertil ! So your at risk if you have any of these!!
