Quite some time ago i was seeing a guy. We were really only meeting up and having sex not in a relationship. He had a Girlfriend & i had a boyfriend (yeah i know it aint good. I ended it in the end)
Anyway He sent me a text one day
Asking how i really felt about him.
I said what do you mean by that?
He replied Is it sex or do you actually have feelings for me.
I didnt know what to say and told him so.
He said Ok and that was that.
Why do you think he asked me that?
Ive always wondered but couldnt bring myself to ask him. I ended it soon after as i realised i wanted to stay with my current partner ( he knows i cheated by the way. I told him coz i felt so guilty. we are now married with kids)
But ive always wondered what the other guy meant.

I think he asked you that question because he secretly might have had feelings for you and he just wanted to see if you felt the same. From the way you described what he did after you sent your text .. sounds like he loved you. Who knows though because that was then and this is now. You are with your husband and have children with him. I can still understand you wanting to know.

Who knows from the info you gave. Women get the blame for being mysterious creatures, but men can be mysteries of their own. Either he maybe really did feel something for you or maybe you gave him some unintentional signal that that scared him and he was just making sure. I think the only one that can figure out the answer would be you. Where did you meet? Was he happy with his gf...just look at the little details.

He meant what he asked. There is no mystery there, men do not speak in complicated codes the way women do--he simply wanted to know if you had feelings for him or if you were just using him for sex. And it sounds like you do have feelings for him if you are still thinking about it.

The other guy probably started to have feelings for you, and wanted to know if you felt the same way. It may have helped in making a decision, because if two people feel the same way about each other, then it's worth going for. If they don't feel the same way, it's a bust.

He probably wanted to know if you had feelings for him besides sexual. Maybe he was interested in pursuing the relationship. The only way you will know for sure is to ask, but since your married /w kids I wouldn't.

Well it sounds like he probably had feelings for you, so he asked you to see if you did before he told you he did. If he didn't have feelings for you and it was only sex to him than he wouldn't have even thought to ask you that question. So I'm pretty sure he had feelings for you.

My guess would be that he was probably questioning his relationship with his girlfriend. He may have started to have feelings for you and wanted all the facts he could get about the situation before he could decide what to do about it.

He wanted to know if you were interesed in leaving the guy you were with to be with him. He wanted to know if what you two had could turn into a serious relationship or if it was just a fling. He probably wasn't too happy with his girlfriend and was planning on leaving her. Probably wanted to go with you once he left her.

I believe he either started having feelings for you and wanted to see if you did too, or wanted to prove to himself or someone else that you can have a sexual relationship without getting feelings involved.
